I have manage to change the spark plugs today no problem whatsoever. I was just wondering what the condition of them tells me. They all had light brownish deposits on the threading and tip.

Thanks everyone. I've got one side off but the shop's given me the wrong pads, so I'll be going back tomorrow. If I'd bought the pads from a Renault dealer, I'm sure they would know which were the right pads just from the reg or

Any recommendations around the £60 mark? I had a couple of Barum tyres on before, that weren't bad. But I had to get some new tyres, and the only 195/60/14's I could find - in stock - that weren't budget - were some Good Year. Oh, not too shabby I thought.

I'm trying to remove the nut which secures the track rod balljoint to the hub. I've undone it, or at least I thought I had, but it just keeps turning. Has it broken off inside ? What do I do next if it has ?

I put the rear seat flat to ferry some stuff to the skip. Middle rear seat belt has now locked so the seat will not retun to it's upright position. How can I free this off ?

When removing spark plugs do you need to disconnect the negative perminal of the battery ? Any advice on changing spark plugs ? other than not threadding it :)

I bought some reg. plates from ebay, which do not have any dealer name on them, will this be ok for the MOT ? It's an 02 car but the MOT website does not mention it, only the spacing/ font... Maybe I'll put the tatty old ones in the boot just in case, although

Duncan, It's the inside edge of the inboard side (that doesn't have the wheel to protect it) that's rusted.
