t-cut'ing my peugeot ;-)28 May 2007 22:25 GMT3
Hi group,
I found a tube of t-cut scratch remover*  and it's making the dull
paint on my old Peugeot really shine again. Is the scratch remover
less abrasive than the standard t-cut in a bottle ? I have done about
1998 Renault Megane A/C down.28 May 2007 14:05 GMT2
Since recently, the A/C in my Megane won't start up.
I can keep hammering the push switch that would usually start it up, it
won't turn on. The LED usually indicating whether it's running or not
won't even light up.

Belt or chain? 99.9999% it's a chain. In a 53 plate Fiesta.
02 Ford Fiesta rear light problem28 May 2007 00:27 GMT3
The drivers side brake light and high level brake light on our Fiesta
(Finesse) don't light up when the brake pedal is pressed.  The
passenger side one does so its not the brake pedal switch.  I've used
the book that came with the car and released the top light but the
whats this then ?27 May 2007 22:46 GMT10
Sorry for posting twice today, but I had my Pug. 306 1.9D up on the
ramps yesterday day and had my head stuck under the engine ( like you
do ) Whilst checking things out, I noticed a round canister type thing
behind the engine, which I could not ID ? It's kind of like one of
Megane Saloon P Reg27 May 2007 19:58 GMT3
Anyone tell me where the oil dipstick is located on the engine? My friend
has asked me and since I have never owned a Renault I haven't a clue. She
has been unable to locate it,
Many thanks
What paint to use on a bumper27 May 2007 17:59 GMT2
My wifes Volvo 850 needs a touch up on the bumper.  It is a grey/black
colour and has rubbery feel to it (if that makes sense).  Anyone know
whether this is a dealers "special" or is it something widely available
at Halford's etc?

Toyota MR226 May 2007 19:44 GMT18
Seen tons of these floating around for silly money. I remeber when they was
fresh out and wanted one. Might get one and tidy it up, someone slap me in
the face if this is a bad idea.
There is just something I love about them. Always had a soft spot for them.
Gear linkage lubrication26 May 2007 16:56 GMT6
I was wondering what you use to lubricate gearlinkages ?
There is nothing wrong with gear changing a little stiff occasionally so I
thought lubricating the linkage couldn't hurt ?
MOT advisory items - worth sorting out before next MOT?26 May 2007 16:15 GMT12
Hi there. After having some moderate repairs to my car (Nissan Micra
equation '98 - R reg) so it can pass its MOT, I have two items on the
advisory list:
-Signs of corrosion to nearside sill
PowerBuilt Tools26 May 2007 16:05 GMT34
Hi guys, we've just brought on a new range of tools from PowerBuilt and I'm
trying to gauge the general awareness of the brand and general comments on
the tools. The Brand is well established in New Zealand, Australia and the
USA but only just coming into Europe & the UK. The ...
been driving a Renault Clio25 May 2007 18:07 GMT31
Horrible car to drive. 5 star safety rating - who gives a sh.t about
that when the steering's twitchy, power steering too light, steering
wheel hard and plasticy with nasty nobbles where you hold it, and the
steering wheel always pulls to the straight ahead position making
Stag steering rack gaitors25 May 2007 10:48 GMT14
Hi I've just had an MOT failure on my Triumph Stag steering rack
gaitors. I understand that I will need to separate the balljoint and
wish to know which is best the fork type separator or the scissor
type? Also I'm told I need to remove the track rod end, do I need a
Rover 25: Oil, Water and a Head Gasket25 May 2007 09:37 GMT13
Simply: the old beastie's temp guage hit red, 1 mile from home. I
limped her back, coasting down a large hill to get the temp down a
bit. I left it for an hour to cool down (me, not the car, I craped my
self!!!) and then I had a look at the engine bay, there was watery,
