When my car (03 Vauxhall Astra) is driving in a straight line the
stearing wheel is pointing at about the 3 minutes to 12 position, the
tracking is fine it doesn't pull either way when I let go of the wheel
it's just a little annoying!  I've also noticed that at around the

I had a split outer CV boot, looked like a simple job to replace in the

I have an older car, '94, with a leather clad s/wheel.
Problem is that the leather is hard and smooth with no surface texture,
making it slippery.
Needs to be gripped quite firmly, especially when manouvering.

Are there any makes of certain components you always use because you
find them best/most reliable? I always use Champion windscreen wipers,

I've a R-reg Moandeo which, not surprisingly, has lost its gas. I
presume the previous owner hasn't spun it from time to time to keep the

We have a 1997 left hand drive VW diesel estate CL rabbit/varient with
the 110bhp engine.  Gear stick is sloppy and recently the engagement
of first gear has become awkward, more often than not going into
third at inappropriate moments :-))

Wifes head gasket went a couple of days ago. Ok, I thought, lets get the
head off and see the damage, shouldn't be that hard...
Except, unlike my car, the crankshaft pulley bolt will not budge. I am now
