lost focus key :(25 Jun 2007 20:50 GMT4
I seem to have hidden my spare Focus key ( with a blue dot ) rather
too well so I can't programme
new keys now.  Does anyone know how much a Ford dealer is likely to
charge for a new key and re-programming,  is their any alternative ? I
Noisy front right wheel.25 Jun 2007 19:56 GMT10
Hi all, I'm after some advice...  I have a W-plate fiesta and has
recently started to make strange noises when cornering.  When I turn
hard left, the front right wheel produces a kind of drone/whine.  This
also happens when going in a straight line at about 50mph, but is

There is an online petition to restore the rolling 25 year exemption for car
tax (which was stopped by the Labour government)  I think it is worth

Primera P11 audio23 Jun 2007 19:58 GMT4
My cd changer has given up the ghost on my Primera and I find that a
replacement will cost as much as a half-decent head unit that plays mp3 and
has bluetooth.
So I've gotten hold of a new (Nissan) facia adaptor that will take a
Testing a cat when buying used car23 Jun 2007 17:30 GMT6
As cat. converters as so expensive items, I just wondered if there is
some gizmo available that can give a kind of good/bad indicator from
the exhaust gases? I just ask this as when buying a new (used!) car
there's no easy way I know of, of telling if the cat is ok.

Source for VW internal bits and pieces?23 Jun 2007 12:53 GMT16
got a Passat with heated electric wing mirrors.  I`ve managed to snap the
top off the little joystick that controls the mirrors, and am looking for a
decent source online.  I`d rather avoid a scrap yard unless the price
difference is huge, as I don`t want to be messing about ...
Mondeo wont start23 Jun 2007 12:21 GMT7
Went out to start the car yesterday and it just made a clicking sound when I
tried to turn it over. All the electrics were still working. Tried it again
this morning and it was completely dead. I took the battery off and put it
on charge but its showing up as having a full charge ...
Fitting Reversing Sensors23 Jun 2007 10:09 GMT22
I was thinking of fitting reversing sensors to my '98 Nissan Primera. A
set of 4 is £20 on ebay. Any suggestions? (learn to drive comments are
not very helpful).
I would have to drill holes in the bumper to mount the sensors, how do

Wiper motor won't stop23 Jun 2007 01:07 GMT10
Last night I had the windscreen wipers on and at some point, whilst on
'intermittent' position, they started wiping at normal speed.
They wouldn't stop, wiping at normal speed in all positions except in double
speed position, they ran at double speed.
Diagnostics software23 Jun 2007 01:04 GMT14
Wise folks,
I have finally ended up owning a car with (in my view) too many
computers in it: a 55 plate Golf plus diesel.  (Actually it's my wife's,
strictly speaking).
