Old Escort van workshop manual?04 Jul 2007 07:35 GMT3
My old (1989) Escort van will need a bit of work soon. Most things are
self explanatory, so I dont need any guidance on minor things, but I'm
expecting to do the clutch at some point, so a workshop manual would be
a good reference point if I get stuck.

Anyone any idea where I can get a pair of Bendix self adjusters for a 94
Clio's rear brakes? They're the cast metal screw-jack sort.
The set fitted to the wife's car have fallen apart terminally, broken
leaf-springs, missing teeth off the wheel etc. They're an utterly crap

Unsticking Car Badges & Emblems03 Jul 2007 08:25 GMT7
I intend to remove some of the stuck-on badges and emblems from my car.
Is there a specific procedure for removing them that minimises the risk of
damage to the car?
What is the best solvent to use to remove the adhesive residue without
PSA: Capable Garage02 Jul 2007 23:57 GMT11
Glenn's tyres in Mansfield, by Focus on Chesterfield Road. Actually pay
attention to what they're doing (hidden weights on alloys without asking,

Citroen AX 1.4D - Is there any way of telling which ones have a Bosch fuel pump?02 Jul 2007 21:24 GMT3
Looking to pick up a Citroen AX 1.4D as a little runaround but with
the proviso that it needs to run on biodiesel, now the roto-diesel
pumps burn out (lack of lubrication) when running on biodiesel so I
need to find ones with a bosch fuel pump. Is there any way of telling
Potected NCB - are we being scammed?02 Jul 2007 18:04 GMT12
Further to the NCB protection debate in a previous thread - I've just
renewed with Axa, and (as usual) opted for NCB protection.
However, during a chat with the rep it emerged that in the even of fault
claim next year's premium would increase, irrespective of NCB protection.

gearbox oil. I showed it around to few garages and finally got work
done on it at nationwide auto centre, bristol. The garage replaced the
