Hello all. Question as per subject line: are these cars reliable enough
to use as a daily driver? Any experience (good or bad) with the Mas 4200
and any pointers on what to look for when buying would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim

Tyre inflators and pressure guages.25 Aug 2007 20:43 GMT1
I had one of those cheap and nasty tyre inflators, the type to plug
into an air line - cast alloy body, fitted with a short bit of black
hose to connect to the clip on tyre valve fitting, brass air release
valve plus large trigger to put air in and a round faced analogue
Drain points on an Octavia?25 Aug 2007 17:06 GMT3
I've had a 'sloshing' sound in my Octavia for a few weeks now. At first
I thought it was water in the vent pipes, but today, when replacing the
indicator repeater light, in the front wing, an awful lot of water
started running out.
Reset service light24 Aug 2007 19:20 GMT3
Drivers
I have seen a reset procedure for reseting the service light.  Some say
Can be done quite simply by shorting pins 7 and 19 with the ignition
switched on. Is this pin 7 to pin 19 ? Or is this each to ground?
Helicoil or tap for larger stud?24 Aug 2007 19:02 GMT16

Tracking24 Aug 2007 17:31 GMT3
While I'm asking all these questions I may as well ask this too :)
About to go get my tracking done, in the past when it's been out I've
asked by how much and I usually get an answer like "Three". "Three what?" I
say and get blank looks or repetition. So, what is it the unit and ...
MK2 Golf tailgate loom24 Aug 2007 17:29 GMT3
It seems that one of the lamps that isn't working on my tailgate may be down
to the wiring rather than the bulb - I've swapped bulbs but I'm yet to check
the voltage with a multimeter. Anyway - does anyone know if the wiring runs
around the bottom of the boot / rear panel, or does ...
Life of a Shogun?24 Aug 2007 17:06 GMT29
I have a P reg Shogun with 3.0 L petrol engine with 130,000 miles on the
clock.
It is running well. (The only 'problem' is that it uses maybe 1 litre of
oil every 2-3000 miles - unchanged since I got it with 84K on the clock)
Any tips for Fiesta valve clearance checks/adjustments?24 Aug 2007 14:59 GMT14
Our '97 1.25 Fiesta has recently passed the 100k mark and, according
to Haynes, it's due for a valve clearance check and adjustment as
necessary.
The method seems relatively straight forward but was wondering if
Vauxhall Corsa Y reg diesel - Clunking into gears23 Aug 2007 20:31 GMT3
Primarly changing gear into 2nd is very difficult and then it clunks
into gear. The other gears do the same but to a lesser extent.
Any ideas, is it just the linkages ??
Its a diesel with 130k on the clock, other wise it drives like a
"peel off" panel on MOT Certifcate.23 Aug 2007 20:28 GMT10
I've just retrieved the MOT Certs (new style) from out file as the cars need
taxing and I've noticed they have a "peel of panel" next to the address of
the testing station.
What is it for?  Ours are  not peeled but, looking "through the paper",
