Increase in fuel consumption - what to look for?24 Oct 2007 13:21 GMT6
I know the pump prices have gone up recently, but a few pence here and
there never really made a noticable difference in consumption. I have
recently noticed however, that my MPG is less than it was.
I have a Polo 1.4, which would usually average about £1 unleaded for
Escort: Pollen Filter?24 Oct 2007 13:09 GMT2
A quick query, do any of the late mark6 escorts have pollen filters? Only
those with A/C? My haynes manual doesn't mention one, but I would have
thought that a car with A/C surely had a pollen filter!
Taken a look but it's dull here and no light available really, so will have
Heater problems on Mondeos24 Oct 2007 08:37 GMT6
My friend has a R reg. Mondeo and I have an N reg. one. They both have
similar faults and having read previous posts talking about vacuum
hoses being the problem, I wonder if the two cars use the same control
system and if we both have vacuum pipes split.

Fuel filter question Citroen AX22 Oct 2007 00:17 GMT2
I started giving my AX its 72000 mile service today.
When I came to the fuel filter, the new one I'd bought had the arrow
pointing in the opposite direction from the one which was fitted. I fitted
the new one according to the arrow and the car is running, but the filter
Problems after headgasket change21 Oct 2007 23:12 GMT4
Changed head gasket & 4 valves on a 1998 1.6 16V Petrol Astra yesterday,
all seemed to go well until it was started again. It's now running
extremely rich, black smoke from exhaust & ticks over at 2.5K. Tried
disconnecting battery to try to reset ECU but suspect I've either got

doing the same again.  Seems it's becoming pretty common to ...

Can anyone help me source a light bulb for the key to my car? It's a tiny
bulb, I would say 10mm long by 5 mm wide. Stamped on the metal is 0.9w-a.
I've tried on the internet, no joy, I also tried Halfords and their spare
bulb guide but the key bulb is not listed.
