Just wondering if someone here has any idea on a problem I have. I have a 1999 Renault Laguna 1.8 RT (old style). The oil, temp and stop lights on the control panel stay on, when a rev up to pull away they go off but the rest of the time they stay on.

I've got an L reg 1.6L Petrol Ford Escort, which wont idle properly. When started from cold, it flicks between idling at about 700 RPM and 1200RPM, going up down, up down. This settles down and stops changing once the cars warm.
