Sorted the bugger! Some may remember it took an age to die down to idle. Whilst checking the vacuum tubes for bungage, as suggested, I squashed one of them trying to get it off and noticed that when I blipped the engine, as I was doing constantly trying to find out which one ...

| Mobile dent removers? | 24 Nov 2007 04:38 GMT | 2 |
My car has acquired a "ding" on the door while parked (I suspect someone came a bit close and rubbed it with a door mirror). I'm wondering about trying one of these outfits that claim to fix such things.

| Underbody sealing | 23 Nov 2007 22:40 GMT | 15 |
What are the current thoughts on doing this? I was surprised to find surface rust on various part of my exhaust and the suspension brackets (02 car), so I'm thinking of applying some sealant to my new car. However, there are clearly parts which shouldn't be covered, so is it a DIY ...

We have an 97R Rover 220SD, generally sound - done about 90,000m, scruffy but no structural rust or other damage. Last week it dumped all it's oil after a cooler pipe rusted through (well-known weakness, I discovered later...). The engine is mortally damaged (sounds like a ...

I have a 2005 Mondeo 115 TDCi LX hatchback and its recently developed a loud "buzzing" vibration. The vibration starts at around 35mph and gets worse as speed increases. It does not seem to be related to what gear I'm in. The sound appears to be coming from the back of the car..

My 1991 Mazda 323F has developed a very 'notchy' feeling when going round tight bends. No nasty noises, just a definite lumpiness through the steering wheel. I'm assuming it's a CV joint Any idea how long it might have left (hours, days, weeks...)? And is it a

I've got an '04 Zafira GSi and a couple of days ago one of the interior light bulbs in the central pair stopped working. So I popped the cover off thinking it was a blown bulb, but when I pulled it out the filament was intact. So I put the bulb back in and it lit when fully ...
