On the cars last service getting the plugs out was a bit of a git on the
wifes ford ka which is notorious for seizing in.

106 1.5 XND Phase 2 reverse light?14 Nov 2007 16:40 GMT2
Hi guys. This may be a dumb question but I recently got my 106 1.5 XND
which is a P reg phase 2 and was wondering if they have a reverse
light? The last time I had a car that didn't have one was my first a
1962 Triumph Herald so its a little wierd not finding an obvious one.
Reverse sensor alarm sounding permanently - Citroen C514 Nov 2007 14:55 GMT2
A friend of mine bought six months ago a second-hand (2002) Citroen
C5 estate - it's a looooong car. The car came fitted with bumper-
fitted reverse sensors that worked well, frequency of beep increasing
as approached on obstacle to continuous tone at about, oooh, 20cm from
burned out valve, change them all?14 Nov 2007 09:40 GMT8
This is another one of those 'if one needs doing, should they all be done?'
questions.
We have a 'burned out' valve on a 62k 105JTD diesel engine.
Would the group suggest having all the valves done (shims/seats?) while it's
Engine warning lights - Astra 1.814 Nov 2007 09:38 GMT11
My friend has reported a problem with her car.  Vauxhall Astra Bertone
Coupe.  1.8 03 year.
Engine warning lights coming on as described by her (I should say, she
knows the difference between a piston and a timing belt!):
Non-setting masticy / gluey stuff for door membranes13 Nov 2007 19:23 GMT5
Can anyone recommend such a product? I've got some new membranes for my
Golf, and they come in at something daft like £7 a side, so I'd prefer to
stick them so as they can be removed without ripping them to bits in the
event of me needing to get at something inside the door (ie, ...
Estima auto not pulling away when cold - where's the ATF filler?13 Nov 2007 17:47 GMT2
Our Toyota Estima automatic has started not pulling away at first when it's
cold. After putting it into gear and revving up nothing happens for a few
seconds, then the transmission engages and off it goes. When it's been
running a few minutes it's OK.
Interior light timer/dimmer13 Nov 2007 17:04 GMT40
Lots of these on the aftermarket which dim out the light after a set
period. But any which fade it *on* as well - like modern BMWs and others?
Or even a circuit of one? Lots of circuits for dimming out ones found on
Google, but not any for both on and off.
Overpriced filling station or Newsagent?13 Nov 2007 10:37 GMT16
My love affair with LPG is being strained to the limit at the moment.
Saturday night, I dropped into my local Shell Station, to fill up with LPG.
Sadly, all the local cheap independent LPG sellers close in the evenings and
weekends, so I'm forced to fill up with shells overpriced ...

Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR13 Nov 2007 02:47 GMT1
No changes are made to the already potent 600hp 8.4-liter aluminum
V10, however, the suspension receives KW coilovers that are adjustable
in ride height and dampening in addition to a new front stabilizer bar
for increased front end stiffness and reduced body roll.
Ford KA12 Nov 2007 21:52 GMT13
My granddaughter has a 1.3 Ford KA, but not got the  log book back from
swansea yet and wish to the tappets which are noisey. I have the VIN number
if it helps??
I need to know the exact year of car also?
Fiat Brava Immobiliser fault?12 Nov 2007 19:34 GMT5
T reg 16V fiat Brava, was lying for a year, started and MOT'd remarkably
easily! ran perfectly for a week  and now won't start,  the fault code comes
up as immobiliser  key? it has both master and a spare key.

Question Honda Civic Engine Swap12 Nov 2007 12:31 GMT2
Advice gratefully received!
I'm posting on behalf of someone who is a total novice doing an engine
swap (yes he knows it's a big job and he's not that experienced but he
has no choice as he is broke so he's learning as he is going along -
