The cambelt on my friend's P-reg Citroen Xantia (1800 petrol manual) has broken. It broke just after pulling away from a parking space. Does anyone know if this will have b*gg*red anything up in the engine, like valves meeting pistons etc., or will it in effect just be a new ...

| Strange 'tinkling' rattle on Ford Ka | 11 Nov 2007 19:29 GMT | 4 |
I realise this is probably an overlong and daft question but I just wondered if anyone on the forum had any ideas. My friend's Ford Ka has an annoying 'tinkling' rattle. It sounds very much like a length of unsupported brake pipe vibrating against the body for a few seconds

| Reversing sensor fitted!!! | 10 Nov 2007 22:27 GMT | 31 |
When I bought my wife a Lexus we found that it was extremely difficult to judge where the rear end was, so I bought a T23P reverse sensor, this is the type that has a silver strip to fit inside the plastic bumper. Three years later I fitted it, it was simple and quick to fit and ...

| Car light when ignition off? | 10 Nov 2007 10:47 GMT | 6 |
Ford Fiesta 1.8 Azura 1994. I'm pretty sure when the light switch is on, and the ignition is off (with key out), the front lights would stay on in side-light mode. They're not now. The rear lights remain on.

| Tracking gauges - WTF?? | 09 Nov 2007 22:06 GMT | 12 |
Just had a look round the tool sites and Fleabay for a drive-over tracking gauge. They all seem to be £45++ - seems like a ridiculous amount for what it does. Is it just because there's a limited market?

| Impact wrench woe | 09 Nov 2007 01:29 GMT | 5 |
My impact wrench refuses to turn, lots of air escaping at the exhaust (which btw is handily just over the trigger so you get oil all over your hand!). I took it apart but everything looked OK aside from that the vanes weren't extended so I extended them manually in case that was ...
