Mobile phone05 Nov 2007 14:51 GMT7
Maybe I am asking to much. I have just bought a low mileage 06 Ford
Focus ST2. The radio is a Sony with a "phone" button on the buttons,
at the back left of the steering wheel there is a black stalk with
"volume, search" etc on it, on the top there is a button which says
Recommendations for good scrap yards / car reclamation places nr Blackpool04 Nov 2007 21:55 GMT5
After someone kindly smashed the rear window on my Peugeot 306 and I
fancied a trip round the local yards I realised I didn't know of any.
(Most of my scrap yard experience comes from the southwest).  Queries to
friends who've lived in the Blackpool/Fylde area for years didn't ...

A mate of mine has a 55-plate Peugeot 407 that has a "central display

For the first 25-30 minutes of driving, the display is nice and crisp,

Power draining away over few days04 Nov 2007 01:30 GMT17
I had thought I needed a new alternator but not so sure now...
I can start my car dozens of times a day, and it has no problems - even if I
don't drive it anwhere. But leave it standing for a few days, and find the
battery is totally flat - barely enough to unlock the car!
Rover V-8 oil level sensor.03 Nov 2007 23:19 GMT25
The oil level sensor system on my SDI is no more, and spares are not easy
to get. Do any later Rover V-8 engined models use a similar system -
preferably where the sensor will fit the existing thread in the sump -
even although the electronics etc are different?

Saxo 1.1 - hesitant/stuttering on light throttle opening03 Nov 2007 20:45 GMT4
We just got a Saxo 1.1 - 2001 - 87k miles, drives really well apart from
one issue. When trying to hold a constant speed with just a touch of the
throttle applied, there is a hesitancy/judder - which is cleared if you
either ease right off or apply more throttle.
Pug 306 Power steering hose03 Nov 2007 18:04 GMT1
Any ideas about the best/cheapest way to repair a PAS hose
which is leaking under pressure from the crimped union between
the hose and the metal pipe which connects to the PAS pump?
I don't want to fork out for a new hose, if someone could point me

with which to use.

Noddy Plugs question03 Nov 2007 10:25 GMT8
When you buy plugs for a modern car - do you still have to adjust the gap or
is all that stuff history ?

Simple brake shoe wear question03 Nov 2007 10:18 GMT3
It's been a while since I've posted a question as I'm now down to only
one Punto :D
A month back I had the rear brake drum off and noticed that the rear of
the two shoes on each side was worn nearly to the metal only at the top
