What would cause the brake pipes on a 7 year old car to require replacing for an MOT?

Hi Guy, I have a golf and I had a problem with the windscreen wipers- I managed to get some help of another guy (with a Nissan 200SX) - all the same he still helped me out. But the think that made it superb was

| ZX handbrake | 02 Dec 2007 14:50 GMT | 6 |
Having a problem. ZX failed MOT on a few things, but the main problem I'm having is the handbrake. I put in new shoes and cables but the car is showing off side handbrake weak. Does not fail on footbrake operation, so I know the shoes are OK. Left hand handbrake is spot on, but ...

As for 'Ubaydah, he had wounded his enemy but was wounded himself, and so his two companions killed the wounded Meccan and carried 'Ubaydah back to the safety of the Muslim ranks. After this, the two armies

| Question about plug top ignition coils. | 02 Dec 2007 13:55 GMT | 5 |
I read in a forum that the performance of these type of coils can gradually break down over time, leading to misfiring under load, poor performance etc, and some believe that they should be replaced after so many thousand miles, simply to restore a cars original performance.

| How Can I test a coil? | 02 Dec 2007 11:44 GMT | 9 |
Off a 1.8 Golf, 1988 model so it's old skool. Back when I used to do this, it was easy - swap it with a known good one. Haven't got any lying about anywhere any more. Is there a way I can test it ?

Just sheared off the bleed nipple on one of the Ka's rear drums. Any tips on how to get the rest of it out (assuming you can replace those without replacing other bits too!!!)? The remainder is flush with the back of the drum and there's no leakage of fluid. Given that it hasn't

| Transit-sized vans | 01 Dec 2007 18:47 GMT | 37 |
Looking for a van the size of a SWB low-roof Transit since my present wagon is showing signs of terminal decrepitude. I had a look at a VW Transporter and a Merc Vito this morning. I've seen a lot of surprisingly tatty looking VWs but this one, though J reg, didn't look too bad, but ...

| Prising out the brake servo vacuum hose... | 01 Dec 2007 16:57 GMT | 7 |
I'm presently replacing valve stem seals and HG on my Punto MK 2 (8v). So I'm likely to post a few daft questions over the next week. I've followed the Haynes manual in the process of removing the inlet manifold. I've completed all steps but one:
