2001 Ford Focus Cooling29 Jan 2008 16:50 GMT6
I could be well off here, but in my 2001 Ford Focus, the engine temp seems
to go up a little, then down a little, up then down, even on motorway runs.
In traffic it sometimes gets halfway up, though I've not seen it go past
this.
59 Mark 1 Sprite (Bubgeye in States) Springs29 Jan 2008 15:18 GMT5
Hi All, this is for a mate in California.  He has a 59 Bugeye
Sprite.  The suspension in the rear bottoms out with more than
one person in the car, I think he's had shims put in etc etc on
quarter-elliptical leaf springs.  Any ideas on a fix, he cant
Peugeot 406 Rear Door Lock Problem29 Jan 2008 08:16 GMT7

VW keys: retrieving your SKC code?28 Jan 2008 22:22 GMT2
Does anyone on here have a copy of VAG-Tacho or any other tool capable of
retrieving the SKC (secret key code) from my T4? I have VAG-COM and so I can
code the new keys to the vehicle, but if only I had the SKC code. I believe
this is only the older 4-digit code as it is a '97/98 ...
VW T25 Club Joker Westfalia Campervan28 Jan 2008 19:34 GMT1
The one I have bought has a 1.9 diesel, not turbo.  Trying to make it
as quiet as possible.  It has a new exhaust. Does anyone know if sound
deadening kits for the engine bay exist?
air con fan28 Jan 2008 18:38 GMT1
The air con fan which comes on in parallel with the compressor on my Peugeot
806 has recently become one speed only...maximum!  It didn't used to be
noticeable but now is on, loud, whenever the digital air con is in 'auto'.
It goes off when I switch to 'eco'. Is there a sensor ...
Replacing front brake discs and pads on 03 Clio28 Jan 2008 18:23 GMT4
Hoping for some good pointers here!
My wife's 03 Clio's brakes are shuddering quite badly when braking. I
believe there may be some warping of the discs and so am looking to
replace these myself (trying to keep costs down!). I've done basic car

Dead radio?27 Jan 2008 14:21 GMT30
My radio died, for no reason that I can see. I pulled it out of the dash
using the two key things and when I put it back in, it had died!
I didn't hear any bangs, or short circuits, or anything at all, but now it
just won't work. The radio works in another car, so it's OK, but ...

Earth resistance27 Jan 2008 10:00 GMT32
I'm trying to track down a fault with my car's clocks. One earth is showing
very low resistance (negative for some reason on my cheapy multimeter), and
the other is showing around 50 ohms. Does this sound anything like right?

Oil pressure switches - how do they work?26 Jan 2008 16:04 GMT9
I'm still looking at the clocks on my Golf. The earth's not the problem, and
everything else seems alright, so I'm beginning to suspect the oil pressure
switches. The thing is, the computer bit of the clocks doesn't seem to be
registering that the ignitions on, let alone that the ...
