Hard-drive based "cd multichanger"29 Feb 2008 10:39 GMT6
I'm trying to find a device like a hard-drive based "cd multichanger"
which has the same interface as a normal multichanger so it can
replace the one I have but which will allow me to copy my entire music
collection to it in the form of a bunch of directories containing MP3
Mondeo pump+belt28 Feb 2008 18:52 GMT7
My Mondeo is just passing 80K miles, which is the recommended belt change
interval. On previous cars I've usually replaced the water pump as well.
Is the belt+pump a DIY job on a Mondeo? (Mark 1, 2.0 silvertop zetec)
I've heard something about replacing a tensioner, is there a kit ...
Slightly OT: Registration prefix confusion28 Feb 2008 10:24 GMT6
I'm looking at a car on ebay that was registered in Jan 2001 but it has
a W plate.  I reckon it should have an X plate for a Jan 2001
registration but the owner swears blind it has always had that plate and
everything is OK because it was built before Sep 2000 (when W switched

Primera noisy power steering pump26 Feb 2008 18:58 GMT1
I have a 1999 Primera P11 that I picked up three weeks ago but the power
steering pump has started to get rather noisy. The reservoir was a little
low when I first got it so I topped it up but in two weeks it has dropped
again. I can't see any obvious leaks although it's not in ...
Protecting wiring26 Feb 2008 14:46 GMT1
I have just had a bonnet alarm switch fail due to the wires into the switch
corroding (going green and breaking). If I solder them back on, how can I
best prevent such corrosion.

unusual immobilizer system problem26 Feb 2008 12:01 GMT2
My 1994 Corolla 1.3 GLi has an unusual engine immobilizer that is now
playing up.   It has a little rectangular key with three brass strip
contacts on each side that you insert into a little rectangular key hole and
then jiggle up and down (not turn it).
Problem with passenger side mirror26 Feb 2008 11:44 GMT1
I came back to my opel Tigra which was parked on a road way to find
that someone had damaged the passenger side mirror .  It was hanging
off and while I could push it back into its housing I cannot control
the angle it faces as it flips up and down due to the damage.  What
Morning, afternooon all  :(26 Feb 2008 10:23 GMT15
Morning all.
I'm after a little advice if you don't mind.
Last night, I parked too close to a wall (In the dark) and opened my door.
The door was caught by a sudden gust of wind (God know where from!!) and it
Which Oil- Does it matter!?!25 Feb 2008 22:03 GMT19
Hi- been reading loads of threads on various forums about using the
'correct oil ' in an engine
I'm not too up on these mechanical things- so apologies if this is a
daft question- but does it really matter?
BMW 320D 2001 Brake pad wear light25 Feb 2008 20:05 GMT12
I have the yellow warning light illuminated on my dashboard, the
manual states that this light means barke pads are worn to excess, all
pads appear to have plenty of life in them.
Where are the sensors for the pads?
