I've had a close look and there's nothing wrong with the motor assembly. The

Shot blasting01 Mar 2008 19:19 GMT4
Has anyone got any idea of the clobber required to do this? I notice there
are plenty of cheap shot blasting guns about, and I've already got a decent
mask and compressor, so that part of things is covered. Having never done
it, is a huge amount of protective clothing required to ...

Smokey XUD Xantia01 Mar 2008 16:10 GMT6
130k miles, engine runs fine, usually no smoke.
Under boost with plenty of throttle there's a bit of grey[1] smoke, not bad
but noticable at night in the headlights of a car following.
What's the most likely cause ?
Aldi Compressor01 Mar 2008 15:05 GMT14
I've just been and bought one of the compressors from Aldi. £69 quid and a
big kit of air tools to go with it in the box. The compressors rated at
9.5CFM (so the Aldi website figure of 27l/min was a typo - should have been
270l/min). Duty cycle is 50% and it's not supposed to be ...
micra exhaust heat shield01 Mar 2008 14:00 GMT1
Hi all, driving home from Scarborough yesterday when I heard a rattling
noise from under the car.  At first I thought it might be a broken exhaust
clamp, so pulled over in the howling wind and had a quick look.  Seems like
the heat shield has dropped onto the exhaust, the fixing ...

I've managed to replace three of the four glowplugs in my 306 Turbo
Diesel (the two at either ends were bastards; lack of access...). During
previous ownership one of the glowplugs has been rounded off.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it out? I thought about
