Do you know if it is possible to replace a quickclear windscreen on a 56 Ford Mondeo with a non-quickclear one and still have the rain sensing windscreen wipers work? Thanks,

| 2001 Mondeo Duratec engine management fuse blown | 29 Apr 2008 13:46 GMT | 4 |
Had the RAC man and his backup baffled for an hour when the 2001 Mondeo GHIA X 2.0 petrol died on the wife at the weekend. Driving along as normal in dry condition and it dies and wouldn't restart. The 10 A fuse 42 in the auxilliary fuse box had blown. The handbook says

| citroen xantia 2.0 hdi | 28 Apr 2008 22:42 GMT | 8 |
Hello all, This is a question on behalf of my mate at work. He has just got a 2000 plate xantia. The saloon temperature control lever has no effect. It is always hot. It has air conditioning. That makes no difference.

| Honda Accord Gearbox | 28 Apr 2008 16:13 GMT | 5 |
I have a honda accord 2.0i V reg that I love dearly (except for the fact it's so bloody long - saloon) but there's this funny thing with the gearbox. If I try to put it into first when going slowly it resists as I am actually moving but my revs are way too low for

| Gearbox oil sensor reset - Pug 306? | 28 Apr 2008 08:32 GMT | 3 |

I've just about stripped down the Audi head, now, before rebuilding, I'll be cleaning up the old ones. The exhausts have the usual thick, hard, ceramic like coating on them, the inlets were a surprise, with the head being fairly clean, but the

| 406 turbo noise? | 25 Apr 2008 09:28 GMT | 7 |
The 406 I test drove earlier had a very slight noise as it (presumably) came on and off boost at small throttle openings and low revs - sounded sort of like a muted wiper motor. Any ideas?

| Another tyre question ... again .. | 25 Apr 2008 00:11 GMT | 46 |
MOT time soon on the Rickman Ranger (MII Escort based Suzy jeep looking kit car) and that has reminded me I never fully resolved the tyre issue. It has run Colway 185/80/14's M+S remoulds since we built it over 18

| Galaxy sharan alhambra. | 24 Apr 2008 22:02 GMT | 3 |
I am told that a common fault with the later models is that the rear heating matrix fuelled by diesel somehow goes wrong with disastrous results. Oil evertwhere and clouds of smoke. How does this system actually work?
