This started happening a week ago: driving down the motorway the engine will
work perfectly when cold, but once it reaches its normal temperature (about
91 degrees according to the gauge), it will misfire once very briefly, then
continue as if nothing had happened. No warning ...

Just wondered what people consider is the purpose of these.
Are they for intake noise reduction or for pulse tuning? Or both?

What would you buy if that was all you had to spend on a car? I'm
thinking maybe a Ford Focus or old Nissan Primera.

I have an Accord Tourer 2.2 ictdi, had the car for about 7 months now, a few
weeks ago the heater coil display light came on whilst driving under
acceleration, the car went into "limp mode" after a minute or so of steady
away driving it went off.

My friend Steve felt the clutch on his 2000 Golf Mk IV PD Diesel (6 speed)
slip the other day - and because he is taking the car on holiday on the
continent in a couple of weeks, he started looking at prices for a
replacement clutch. Because it may make sense getting the Dual Mass

I'm pretty sure that I've seen somebody in this NG mention about getting
custom springs made, so does anybody have any suggestions?

Bought a car from a Ford dealer last week (it was actually a Fiat).
Discovered after a day or two that the AC was not working at all.

I have a 1997 (R) vauxhall astra 1.7TD estate and the rear screen washe
has stopped working (and yes there is water in the tank). The motor an
pump sound like they work fine but water is not getting to the jet.
What could be the problem?
