This started happening a week ago: driving down the motorway the engine will
work perfectly when cold, but once it reaches its normal temperature (about
91 degrees according to the gauge), it will misfire once very briefly, then
continue as if nothing had happened. No warning ...

Just wondered what people consider is the purpose of these.
Are they for intake noise reduction or for pulse tuning? Or both?

I have an Accord Tourer 2.2 ictdi, had the car for about 7 months now, a few

acceleration, the car went into "limp mode" after a minute or so of steady
away driving it went off.
New Clutch - or leave it?06 May 2008 21:30 GMT6
My friend Steve felt the clutch on his 2000 Golf Mk IV PD Diesel (6 speed)
slip the other day - and because he is taking the car on holiday on the
continent in a couple of weeks, he started looking at prices for a
replacement clutch. Because it may make sense getting the Dual Mass

Discovered after a day or two that the AC was not working at all.
I phoned them and they said they're 3 month warranty does not cover

Power steering disaster05 May 2008 15:05 GMT12
Trying to replace all power steering hoses on a 1999 M5.  Problem with
the one between the power steering pump and the servotronic unit.
At the pump end it is a 22mm banjo bolt, and it was tough to move. In
fact, I had to get the breaker bar out.  I got it moving, but after a

Please Help - Honda Civic 1.7 CTDi engine warning. (Cross post from alt.autos.honda)04 May 2008 14:09 GMT3
Just when I'm skint my super reliable 2002 Honda CTDi has developed a fault.
Five minutes after starting from cold when accelerating around a wide bend
in 3rd gear the engine warning lamp came on. The accelerator would not lift
the revs above about 2200 rpm. This was true when in ...

Life of front tyres on hard driven fwd cars02 May 2008 19:24 GMT20
When I bought my Focus 2.0 ESP at 33k miles it had Michelin Pilot Primacies

been changed once. Tyres are 205/50/16s. After another 15k miles the fronts
are down from about 6mm tread to 3mm so approx 5k per ...
