406 Questions15 Jun 2008 17:54 GMT8
The 406 forums seem to be a bit useless, so I'm asking here. The car is a 53
plate (that's D9, Peugeot spotters) with the 110 HDi engine.
1) The trafficator stalk seems to be a bit too easy to move, and if you wind
lock off quickly it likes to go straight through the central ...

When I stripped everything down, the pads were arranged so that the pads
with the meandering clip (right hand side of the picture) were on the
Fitting towbar to a 2006 VW Passat estate.14 Jun 2008 17:40 GMT1
I'm looking to fit a towbar to a 2006 Passat estate and in order to do
that I'll need to remove the bumper. The screws round the bottom & wheel
arches look pretty obvious but I can't see how to release it around the
top - I expect the rear light unit will need to come off but ...

I'm looking for the pin out of the three plugs which fit into the rear

Failing that.... I have guessed at the +ve ignition supply as the upper

My P reg. 306 D went through another MOT today ( it had to have a bit
of fiddling with the brakes and a bulb or two)
I had a problem with it not starting yesterday though, the engine was
quite warm and it was cranking over but not firing. I measured battery

Flushing oil13 Jun 2008 12:38 GMT25
I'm going to use some flushing oil in my campervan's 6 cyl 2.4l non-turbo
engine today (VW LT35). Its had a problem since I've had it where the oil
pressure light takes 5 seconds to go off when started for the first time
from cold. Its a big old lump and done very few miles and sat ...
Door Lock Won't Open13 Jun 2008 10:20 GMT3
Any lock experts out there? I have been trying to get the lock on the back
door of my van open for a few days. I've oiled it, put grease on the key and
worked it in, but it will not open. Its the type with the key barrel in the
handle. The barrel twists about 70 degrees and the ...
Fixing on-off button my car radio12 Jun 2008 23:56 GMT29
My car radio has a combined on/off push-button and rotary volume
control.  It's become progressively more difficult to turn on and off
over recent months - you have to push increasingly hard to get a
response - to the extent that it's now almost unusable.  Rotary (volume)
