Like a gold coin on a dunghill, the truth about the EU

Peter Lilley's message is clear - 80 per cent of Britain's laws are
now made in Brussels and Parliament has no power to reject or amend

E-code head lamps in Euro Toyota Camrys?12 Jun 2008 16:38 GMT15
In the USA version of 1987-1991 Toyota Camry we got the standard
non-upgradeable headlight reflectors (in a proprietary shape) with 9007
bulbs. I'd like to upgrade the bulbs, but the glass in the standard reflector
is so poorly ground that installing brighter bulbs results in ...
F***ing vultures12 Jun 2008 09:50 GMT42
I've got an old Sierra on the drive. It's been sat there for 14 years ever
since the engine expired and I couldn't be arsed to build a new one for it.
It's quite handy for general storage though with the boot full of scrap
aluminium cylinder heads waiting to go to the scrap ...

Oil: sulphur content question11 Jun 2008 04:03 GMT4
I'm going to do a service on my Mazda 626 now that it has been fixed
up.  I want to do gearbox oil as part of this but, as with everything
to do with this car so far, this doesn't sound as straightforward as
it might be.

Steering pulls, even after wheel alignment check10 Jun 2008 10:54 GMT7
Would someone help with some tyre advice please?
My car failed its MOT on tyre tread depth for both fronts.  The inside
tread was probably the most worn - not a problem, I just had them
changed at my local Fast-Fit.  Handling is now noticably more confident,
Checking disks for Warpitude and working on cars with ABS10 Jun 2008 01:42 GMT18
My 406 also has warped disks (see, the list is a long one!). I'm not sure
which ones are warped, though I'd expect it to be fronts as they get worked
harder. Is there a way of checking them in situ before I order the parts?
Fitting Air Con to an old Campervan10 Jun 2008 00:58 GMT7
I was considering the possibility of designing an air con system for my 1987
campervan by removing a system from an old car and tying to fit it to my VW
LT35. My biggest concerns so far have been how to fix the compressor to my
engine. My initial thoughts are to mount the ...
Crank/speed/hall sensor10 Jun 2008 00:10 GMT8
In a 1998 Felicia 1.3 MPi. Would it be fair to assume that if the speedo is
working properly then this sensor is working properly? If not is there any
way for the average bod with a multimeter to test it?

The airbag light on my Mk1 Focus came on for no apparent reason today.
Stays on solid - no flashing etc.
I'm assuming/hoping its a connector/wiring issue.
Anyone point me to the most likely suspects plz?

Audi A3 reversing light wiring08 Jun 2008 22:03 GMT2
Does anyone happen to know what colour the wire for the reversing lights of
an 06 Audi A3 sportback ought to be?
I'm in the process of fitting a reversing sensor kit and discovered that the
wretched reversing lights are in the tailgate which make it a lot fiddlier.
