My wife's Mini Cooper S stereo switches on and off randomly (without touching on/off button) can happen when ignition is on or off. I have even removed the fuse and it still works!! (and still turns itself on and off)

I'm currently rebuilding my Skoda, and have just got round to refitting the head for a 2nd time. Anyway, in the Haynes manual, the torque routine is : 40nm, 90 degrees tighten, then a further 90 degrees.

If I had used my headlight adjustment control regularly then I might have - 1. Found a problem during warranty, or 2. Have prevented one of the headlights getting a bit stubborn to adjust (without a well aimed thump)

The dashboard warning lights are not illuminating when i turn on ignition ,still starts but is annoying,this happened after fitting a ariel extension to the radio,any pointers to check all fuses appear ok,also heating fan will not operate this was like this before above problem.
