The light behind the outside temp gauge indicator centre dashboard has
failed.Do i have to remove the entire tacho/speedo/fuel gauge etc console
out to replace or is it an led fibre optic or something.Does the dash come
out easy or is it nightmare job.

I have a small hole around 3mm across in the centre section of my
exhaust just as it goes into the back box.
Car is goign to be scrapped in September/October as its value is around
£300 and I have a new car coming.

Bollocks.  I reckon it's Helicoil time.  It wasn't me, I reckon some PO tried
to "cure" the old weeping valve cover gasket by "nipping them up a tad".
There was bugger all left, and the new gasket is leaking pretty badly near
there.

my radiator fan switch is just random now, so I really need to change it.  I
had a little go at removing the connector plug to suss out the procedure,
but it wouldn't come off easily and I didn't want to break it.
Any hints and tips about changing these, I'd obviously like to lose ...

Friend of mine has just bought a cheapie Kitcar as a runabout but
couldnt get it to run.
So this morning Ive hada fiddle with it and am convinced its the carb.
Its a DGAV32/36. I got it running but only with full choke on.
