I need to put spacers on alloys on the back of our car, just a few mm,
there's a bit of rubbing under load.
Do I need to do the front as well, is it important that the wheelbase is

SORN05 Jul 2008 21:59 GMT31
My car has just failed its MOT.  As the car is 10 years old and the
repair costs are likely to be too high, I will be taking the car off
the road and possible scrapping the car.
The tax runs out the end of next month, should I do the SORN now or

My parents recently returned from holiday (only 2 weeks) to discover the

Focus screen washer pump05 Jul 2008 09:26 GMT8
2001 Focus 3 door. Where is the bloody thing? The filler tube disappears
into the n/s wheel arch but no washer bottle is visible looking there. I
imagine it's behind the arch trim somewhere. Need to get at it because the
pump works but nowt comes out front or rear barring a ...
Battery update part 2:04 Jul 2008 23:44 GMT2
Righto chucked it on the charger and it now says its fully charged and has
gone into float mode, its currently reading 13.28v which is a lot better
than the 10.55 volts it had. So I guess this means I'm lucky to not have a
bad cell ?
Car battery question04 Jul 2008 21:48 GMT8

Mondeo front strut pinch bolt04 Jul 2008 10:02 GMT5
Our Mondeo Mk2 has bust a spring. A helpful friend reckoned I'd be best
off swapping the whole strut, which I'm now starting to question.
Anyway, I picked one up from the scrapyard yesterday, then realised it
was a non-ABS one, whereas the car has ABS. Top halves are the same, but ...

I tried to help a mate who runs a garage today by pushing the rear
stub axles out through the bearings on a pair of hubs for him using my

He gave them to me to do because he felt the new hydraulic puller he
