mk4 gold negative battery terminal \ starting issues31 Jan 2009 20:42 GMT5
I was wondering if anyone has noticed that on the mk4 golf the negative
terminal connector on the battery doesn't quite sit properly ?
I think think is modding the battery box to accomodate the cable somehow so
it sits square. Maybe by dremeling a bit away or driling a big hole ...

web site showing running costs by model?31 Jan 2009 12:39 GMT2
What Car Magazine has a very detailed chart showing running costs for

Is there a web site which shows a simpler chart of running costs for
SECOND HAND cars?

5 year old diesel31 Jan 2009 08:35 GMT15
I've 2 gallons of diesel in a proper plastic container that I bought before
a holiday 5 years or so ago. Never used it and I'd like to get rid of it.
Any reason why I shouldn't use it in the car? Does diesel go 'off' in any
way over time. I'd fill in via a funnel with a strainer ...

Is buying a new car in January better than February or later?28 Jan 2009 19:13 GMT2
Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway!
Is January the quietest month for new car sales and are prices
therefore better than one will get/negotiate in February or later in
the year?
