I have just bought the mother in law a 2002 Toyota Corolla (last of the old shape ones model ZZE111). The car has been stood with a flat battery for a while and while it starts and runs etc the remote key fob does not open the door.

Have recently purchased an older Astra with only one key so will need to get one cut / programmed. Never needed to do this before as have always got a couple or more keys with them.

The airbag warning light has come on in my '04-reg A3. Is this likely to be a) an actual problem with the airbag b) an actual problem with the seat-belt pre-tensioner

Peugeot 406, R reg. Windscreen wipers have stopped working. I thought the first thing to do would be to check the fuse. The fuse box is in the engine compartment.

HI Chaps. So riddle me this. I've a 2003 Renault Laguna 2 dci(120). About 50k on the clock. Mechanically sound, starts and runs just fine- has done since I bought it two and a half years ago and all regular servicing done by me.

How does the fuel rail in an EFI petrol engine retain the pressure with the pump not running? Obviously some form of valves - but where? One in the pump and one in the pressure regulator? And do all pressure regulators include one?

Both my driver's door lock and rear offside passenger door lock are both now a bit "iffy". I suspect that replacements will cost the proverbial - can someone suggest a better (cheaper) way than just ringing and then turning up at a main dealer for them?
