Noise turning left in Fiesta Zetec 0331 Mar 2009 22:36 GMT3
Can anyone suggest a reason for a noise that sounds like a fast
woosh-woosh-woosh when I turn left (any amount)?  It doesn't depend on
engine revs, but does get faster as the wheels turn faster.  I can't
reproduce it if I jack the wheel up and turn it.

Diesel Return (leak off) pipes30 Mar 2009 20:38 GMT5
I've replaced mine about three times now. Rubber perishes within two or
three years. Not a big problem replacing them but surely they should last
longer. The end cap/stop also perishes. I've always had Mafco
www.mafcobell.co.uk kits handed to me at shops.

Could Fuel Tank Crack When Fitting New Sender?28 Mar 2009 21:17 GMT8
The sender needs replacing in my fuel tank, but because the part has never
been changed in 25 years (age of vehicle), I've been told the tank may crack
during the process.
Would that mean a new tank, or could it be 'patched up'?

(Possibly) Stupid Question27 Mar 2009 21:39 GMT2
I need to change an alloy wheel nut on the wifes focus as one of the current
ones has lost its alloy cover.
Is it OK to change this one nut without jacking up the car or will it stress
the other nuts.
Fiesta MK3 Right turn Indicator failed ?27 Mar 2009 20:11 GMT5
Our fiesta mk3 right turn indicator has failed. If you click the
switch for a right turn, you hear a fast clicking and none of the
dashboard/rear/front/repeater lights work on the right hand side.
Left is ok.

MAP Sensor Renault Megane 1.625 Mar 2009 23:22 GMT3
Yesterday I used my car with no problem - this morning turns over but will
not fire.  Assuming it is probably a sensor failure I have been looking at
the MAP sensor.  It measures 1450 ohms between the outer terminals but no
reading between any other combination.
Bodywork25 Mar 2009 01:28 GMT8
I've given my cars the first good jetwash of the year, and found a few
small rust spots on one of them, as well as a biggish spot that I already
knew about.
It's years since I did any bodywork (I run bangers and generally don't
Forte engine flush24 Mar 2009 19:42 GMT5
Has anyone on here used Forte engine flush treatments?  Have been reading on
some forums that it is the bee's knees for engine flush treatments.  Others
have said it can damage the engine if not used correctly and the sump needs
to be removed before re-filling with clean engine ...
Prace bets - repair or write-off?24 Mar 2009 16:30 GMT13
Just spoken to the mother. It appears she had a choice the other day of
hedge or head-on, due to some fuckwit deciding that their overtake was
more important than any oncoming traffic... Ooops.
Fortunately, she chose hedge, but since matey didn't bother to stop, the
