Scenic rear discs30 Apr 2009 23:16 GMT13
I have been assigned the job of replacing the rear discs on my daughter's
Renault Scenic (1999). Although I'm pretty handy with mechanical things I
haven't done this job on this car before. I would be eternally grateful for
some pointers from someone who knows.

Who remembers their 2.8i Capris?29 Apr 2009 06:28 GMT58
Bit of a background / long shot type question but a mate is a bit of a
Capri fan and has a Brooklands that needs quite a bit of work (but is
a runner), a 2.8i that is on the road and another 2.8i that he's
currently using for parts (also a runner).
Chipping cars28 Apr 2009 20:53 GMT10
I like the Galaxy diesel with the 130ps engine (2004/2006) but it only
comes as manual. The next in line is the 115ps which is a bit
underpowered for towing but does come as auto.
Are these in fact the same 1.9 engine with one just reworked to give

MOT failure!27 Apr 2009 21:12 GMT4
My daughter's Corsa failed it's MOT today.  Pretty minor, the rear seat back
wont release and the rear seat belt is trapped behind it and wont retract or
pull out.  She has to take the car back tomorrow to, hopefully, get it
sorted. It passed everything else OK.  My question is ...

2 Stroke in diesel?26 Apr 2009 23:02 GMT1
Due to the pollution control measures of the EC diesel-oil is nearly sulphur
free and contains up to 5% of bio-diesel. Sulphur has the property to grease
the high pressure injection pump and the injectors. Without sulphur, the
reduced greasing property of the new diesel has already ...

Dampers25 Apr 2009 22:22 GMT2
I bought a set of suspension struts a while ago and just today got round to
looking at them with a view to fitting.
Leaning on the two rear struts, I feel no resistance at all on one, and a
'damped' feeling on the other.
ABS Sensors25 Apr 2009 22:11 GMT2
Rover 75, 03 plate, 1.8 turbo, no speedo and the ABS warning light won't
go off. I assume it's a sensor, roughly how much to get it replaced?

Punto Clutch Judder24 Apr 2009 09:08 GMT8
My 2002 Punto 1.2 8v (65k miles)has had an odd juddering problem for
over a year now.
During the winter it has been barely noticeable and all but went away.
Now that the weather is getting warmer it is happening a lot more.
