Fiesta 1998 brake squeak30 Jun 2009 09:06 GMT3
The brake mechanism on my Fiesta 1998 squeaks as I release the pedal.
Braking is fine, new-ish pads, shoes and fluid etc and no squeak on
applying a brakes but a big creaking sort of squeak as the pedal is
released.  I have lubricated everything I dare to but nothing changes!
New Key for Toyota Corolla 2000 vintage29 Jun 2009 20:44 GMT2
My mother in law has lost the last key for her 2000 Toyota Corolla.  It
is locked on on her driveway.
How are is it to make a new key for such a car?  I assume there will be
some sort of RFID etc. ?  I'm guessing this will be expensive?
Sierra Front off Side squeak29 Jun 2009 17:50 GMT3
Sierra 1990 Saphire 1.8 LX. Front off side squeaking when suspension
pressed down about 3 inches. Moved steering to full lock both ways and
still the same. Can be heard going over speed bumps or uneven roads
but not all the time. Any ideas?

I've just bought myself an 02 Primera 1.8 activ. Good car.
It came with aftermarket reversing sensors - home fitted, but seemed
quite well done.
The module is marked/branded "Safespeed.co.uk".

Did the Nazis pick on Jews Because They Were the Weakest, most     Humble, Peaceful People they could find?27 Jun 2009 22:44 GMT6
Why did the Germans target Jews? The Germans didn't kick out the
Chinese after all. Common myth is that the Nazis picked on the
weakest, most humble people they could find.  Being their own country,
didn't Germans have a small say in which guests they welcome or not?
Why should anybody benefit from crime?27 Jun 2009 21:14 GMT1
Is this just a way of getting the public on board for a dubious scheme?
As I understand it, there does not need to be a court judgement; just
'unaccounted for' assets.
If such assets were seized, should the holder not be arrested and have his
Mk1 Focus Couple of suspension issues27 Jun 2009 19:38 GMT10
I have a couple of (i'm assuming) suspension related issues on my
Focus (done 80K and nothing changed AFAIK)
1.  A springy/creaky sound from the front offside.  Just heard when
you drive off and stop and can be heard when turning left.  I'm
BMW27 Jun 2009 11:12 GMT1
According to 'er indoors, our 328i 'just died' while she was driving it
twice yesterday - the first time it just got sluggish, then stopped. It
started again first time.
The second time she floored it when it started to die (since she was in
Bosch plug terminals26 Jun 2009 14:01 GMT11
I've been building a Tech Edge wideband lambda sensor convertor for use
with my Megatune - and the supplied connector for the sensor has arrived
sans terminals. Obviously I can get them from Tech Edge - but they're in
Oz and tend to take a while. It's a Bosch 7057 or 7200 Connector ...
Air Idle Control Valve26 Jun 2009 09:50 GMT5
Should an engine be able to run with this electrically disconnected, but
still in place?

Mondeo Door Locking Problem25 Jun 2009 20:30 GMT14
I have an R Reg Mondeo HB and yesterday noticed a couple of things
that I'm sure weren't like that recently.  First thing I noticed when
I parked up to go fishing was that having locked the car and set the
alarm( indicators flashing) I could still open the nearside rear
Ping Mrcheerful24 Jun 2009 23:27 GMT31
I don't know if this might be your area...
I am sometimes (read as very rarely) finding the battery completely
flat when I try to start the car, sometimes it has only been left
overnight and had been fine the previous day.
Click click click problem when starting24 Jun 2009 20:20 GMT5
Have an old Corolla,  which the son used yesterday and on his way home, it
wouldn't start for him; but he was able to get help with a 'push start' and
it then started O.K.
When I looked at it early this morning the battery was really flat, so I put
