On a mk4 golf 1.6se 1999 AEH engine. Basically the rocker cover is leaking on the backside and oil is weeping, not a lot but enough to sort it out. I called VW and they do not sell just the gasket, you HAVE to buy the rocker

I have just bent all the valves on my 1999 k seris 1.4 16 valve head, I managed to pick up a secondhand head from the internet but on fitting it I now find that the tensioner is different, the problem is that I now can't tension the belt can anyone tell me what the difference is ...

My rear washer jet appears to have thrown its' hand in (wiper works fine), the front still squirts as it should. Would it fail an MOT, given that not all cars even have a rear wiper ?

Halfords sell wire for MIG ally welding so I suppose it's possible. Not wanting to do anything sophisticated like sorting a crack in a cylinder head etc, just simple fabrication. Joints in the same sort of thickness as my MIG could do with steel.

Today a lovely young girl came up and said 'I like your car' , a while later she came and asked if it was for sale, later she came and gave me her mobile number and asked me to think how much I wanted for it. The car is a 24 year old XR4x4 !!!!! reasonable but not concours.
