Mk2 golf chrome grill + gti badge03 Aug 2005 19:01 GMT29
Hi I was wondering what mk2 golfs were fitted with the front grill
incorpterateing a chrome outline?
Also does anyone know where I can buy a gti badge designed to be mounted on
a front grill? Or do most people just modify GTi badges themselves?
And another new car...03 Aug 2005 17:17 GMT36
This is starting to turn into a habit!
Got a ZX 1.9i 8v.  Was on way to look at a Rover 220GSi when I got a call
from the bloke so we diverted off to have a look and I really liked it, so
brought it.  Bucket loads spent on it (head gasket and clutch both done
ABS or not?03 Aug 2005 14:43 GMT22
Sometime in the murky past of my 200sx something has happened to the ABS
system and it's not working. All the bits appear to be present (although I
haven't taken out the back panels to look for the Control Unit yet), so,
assuming that it's not going to be too big or to expensive ...
Anyone want my 620Ti - mucho cheapness?02 Aug 2005 18:43 GMT13
Failed its MOT on emissions, and slightly inefficient handbrake on one side.
R reg, in white.
110k from new, and pretty much a full service history.
I've driven it about 250 miles in the last week, and apart from the initial
I do like this 9-302 Aug 2005 15:44 GMT9

Perfect Power?02 Aug 2005 12:08 GMT3
Has anyone used there XMS engine management system? Looks like a good system
with control for VVT and boost. Ok it's more expensive than a Megasquirt system.
looks like the scooby bubble has burst02 Aug 2005 09:16 GMT40
Bloody hell Scoobs are going for silly money these days,
cleanish taxed and tested uns for 2 and a bit grand upwards. And its not
just one, theres a whole glut of them on autotrader. i feel a replacement
for the cavvy coming on :)
Just cleaned out the PCV at the weekend.01 Aug 2005 23:07 GMT3
After fighting to remove the baffle that acts as a flame trap, it was
like the bottom of a scabby chipshop fryer.
I wonder now, if the PCV being blocked is what is causing it to piss oil
from everywhere including I think the dipstick hole.
Sidewall Deflection01 Aug 2005 18:59 GMT24
We've had these 185/60/13s on the Ka for around 20,000 miles.  The fronts
are down to just over 4mm, the rears somewhere around 6mm.
When I first put 'em on I had some concern about sidewall deflection.  Diddy
ickly rims, lots of sidewall - but had no problems whatsoever.

The 911, a mini review.01 Aug 2005 12:46 GMT63
After just returning from a night in the 911, I figured I might as well
write a little review about it.
For those who don't know, it's a chiffon white, 911 Carrera 3.2 of 1984
vintage (and this isn't an attempt to flog it, it's heading rapidly for
The Decat drama continues01 Aug 2005 12:34 GMT6

since then we have had the head off again and a few thou off it, along with
Always one...01 Aug 2005 09:50 GMT4
Don't you just love the way that you can work happily away on your car
finishing one job and moving onto the next? But i'm sure that any of you
guys that have done any real work on cars 10 or more years old, will have
come into contact with that one f.cking nut that is seized to ...
