Somebody shoot me, I truly am going insane.23 Aug 2005 11:57 GMT15
I've actually been looking on Autotrader and Ebay for Asia Rocksta, and
Mahindra Indian Jeeps in Diesel form.
I think seeing the cloud of grey smoke out the back of the car when I
needed to boot it just after startup has addled my brain.
Talking of things exploding, WTF did this happen?23 Aug 2005 11:45 GMT10
Friend's dad's Thema LS Turbo blew up in a weird way. Pics at

Any ideas why it happened? The car almost went up in smoke because the
oil spilled all over the turbo and caught fire. Good job he had a fire
1st pull in Locost23 Aug 2005 11:42 GMT7
Was pulled a week or so ago, local plod in a panda.
Said I'd gone through a red light (not impossible, I suppose, but it'd be
the first in almost 20 years of driving) oh, and doing 70 in a 30...
Anyway, they let me off with both and gave me a producer for insurance and
M3 or RS423 Aug 2005 10:45 GMT36
Given the option of a fully loaded brand spanking new M3 or a fully
loaded brand spanking new RS4 which would you pick and why?
Compressed Air Intake23 Aug 2005 08:52 GMT6
I've been thinking of supercharger alternatives for the past couple
days, and I've come up with an interesting one. I'm just hopeing that
maybe someone might have some suggestions or warnings. Here goes:
Install a large air tank into the trunk of my car. Have no motor on the
Speedo compatiblity22 Aug 2005 22:20 GMT2

the right ones :)

Just checkin' in22 Aug 2005 20:39 GMT4
Nice hectic weekend. Musical types might be interested to know Tom
Hingley was playing up here and stopped overnight - didn't get to play
any music but he seems like a really nice bloke.
Anyway, car-sort-of-things - finally got the oil changed on the Supra!
Saw a pretty tidy red MR2 Supercharger Mk1 yesterday22 Aug 2005 19:35 GMT3
It had a forsale sign and a phone number in the window.
I had neither my mobile nor a pen and paper with me, because I had
walked to asked instead of drove (trying to get some fat off) to ASDA.
What are the chances of seeing that little puppy again. really did look
Such a thing as to much cold air?22 Aug 2005 19:14 GMT27
I've been toying with the idea of leaveing the bumpers off my gti and
meshing the hole left behind, but as you can see:

That leaves the rad really exposed, plus under bonnet temps will, no doubt
Renault 5 Monaco/GTX exhaust system22 Aug 2005 16:22 GMT5
Hey all,
I'm looking for an exhaust system for a Renault 5 Monaco (GTX). I
originally thought it had a cat but I think it's got 3 silencer boxes?!
I think there'd be big gains to be had by replacing the system. Anyone

it was  a Royal Mail delivery van in our works car park, no problems I
thought, just phoned Esure and they said it would be picked up and repaired
Got the WRX back today.22 Aug 2005 14:05 GMT13
New gearbox is great.  4.4 diff ratios make a big difference.  Hopefully I
won't kill this one.  Anyone have any bets on what will break next?  I'm
guessing driveshafts.

100 xeone look bulbs22 Aug 2005 13:57 GMT2
Has anyone installed these high brightness bulbs in a E46, the bulbs have a
blue coating. With them being 100w I was concerned about the
wiring/switch/relays and also the lens of the headlight unit is plastic. I
presume they must be ok, but would welcome peoples experiences longer ...
Auto Express readers22 Aug 2005 13:45 GMT1
I am hoping someone can help me out.  A few months back auto express
