Difference between 8v and 16v?28 Feb 2006 19:47 GMT10
What is the difference between an 8 valve engine and a 16 valve one?
Sorry! I don't know much about cars and engines. 16v is better than 8v
right?
And what is the difference between for example 8v and v8? I know that

Hi, I'm posting here because your group has had some talk about
CarPC's... in fact I'm only posting in about 4 usenet areas.
I'm part of a UK CarPC forum ( http://www.digital-car.co.uk ) which
has been around for around 2 years now is slowly growing.

Just thinking about a new car as the Swift may be going this weekend.  Want
something reasonably quick with a bit of character for under a grand.  Cars
on my list:
BX 16v - always liked them

Our own tame twat (Lordy.UK) used to use Gravity, and NTL
Suddenly someone ripped a new Arsehole, and lo it spoke and was named
jameswoolford2000@yahoo.co.uk (Lordy. UK), and used Googlegroups, the
trolls new hiding place. But, he did for once have the neuticals to post

Alloy wheel repair?25 Feb 2006 16:02 GMT17
Bought a very expensive set of alloys off Ebay recently at a very good
money, due to a couple of them being damaged. Wonder if anyone knows
whether or not dented wheels can be repaired, and is it possible to
weld up a small crack?
Oh dear...24 Feb 2006 23:50 GMT14

MOT pass :)23 Feb 2006 21:15 GMT2
For the first time (that I remember) in 19 years motoring, a car of mine
passed it's MOT first time without even an advisory :)
It's a 7 yr-old MK2 Mondeo, 120k[1], I did the front wishbones for last
years MOT and apart from basic maintenance I've done nowt to it since :)
Heh, I've gone French today :-S23 Feb 2006 10:42 GMT17
97 R reg Safrane 2.5 Exec auto!
Metallic blue, leather, AC, alloys, electric everything, Alpine stereo with
6 disc changer, cruise, all the bits, plenty of MOT, 137k miles, 3 previous
women owners.
New digital MOTs23 Feb 2006 08:45 GMT8
I'm tempted to put the Swift through an MOT. It still has 6 months to
run on its current ticket but I'm planning on going travelling in about
8 months so I'd rather save the hassle a few months down the line to be
honest.
