| To mod or not to mod, that is the question | 30 Jun 2006 09:14 GMT | 21 |
After having a couple of seriously fast cars I am finding the standard WRX as tad slow. I'm in a quandry whether to mod it or to just spend the money on upgrading to an STI. I can't see any good reason to mod, it will cost about the same, give me about the same power and blow ...

I have mostly been driving a Ford Ka since the crash that resulted in the demise of the Swift. I was rather disappointed to see it when the driver dropped it off at my house but I've got to say it's pretty good to drive around town and

| SWMBO's new commuter and what to do with my 309 ? | 27 Jun 2006 20:30 GMT | 11 |
SWMBO seems to have found a new daily commuter - a VX Zafira. £2.5k on an X. It's a 1.6 which is fine since she's got 9 points on her licence and I can just about insure it. That'll keep her happy and means I can get my usual transport back.

Would anyone know the approximate weights of these motors relative to each other? I've been told the Duratec is ~35Kg lighter than the Zetec of the same displacement.

| New Car | 24 Jun 2006 20:25 GMT | 3 |
Well... I went for the Golf. It's runable every day without costing a fortune. It seats four if strictly necessary (I don't need anything more than that), and Me, SWMBO and l'enfant can go for a bit of al fresco motoring of a summer

Advice please from Italian experts - what are Puntos and Cinqecentos (sp?) like? Looking out for a sub £500 first car for my sis and have been looking at 205s, 106s, Micras, Swifts and Fiestas - all cars I know about. Suddenly thought about the Fiats today but dont know ...
