I've finally got an Alfa..31 May 2007 17:03 GMT10
Not the 155 tho :-( that made some strange noises so I walked away.
It's a 33, 1.7 8v. Drives well, loads of history, 11 months ticket and a
months tax. No rot at all apart from bottom of drivers door.
I suppose in some eyes that makes me a true petrolhead now ;-)

Paint question28 May 2007 21:57 GMT2
So I've got to do a blow in on the bonnet tomorrow where I've rubbed back
down to primer. Now I can remember the rough jist for a blow in - low
pressure, thin paint. Any other hints on how to avoid having to sand and
compound the area around the blow in too viciously? I'm quite ...

Metalic spraying28 May 2007 18:24 GMT14
Does anyone happen to know of a guide for spraying metallic colours ?
I've had a niggle scarp on my wing when I bought the car I wanted to srt
out. Its a moon silver. The damage is far to central for a touch up job and
blending would be hard. So best bet is to do the whole panel. ...

f.cking clueless c.nts28 May 2007 12:56 GMT30
Today I was driving the van. It's a Citroen Dispatch, 1.9 diesel, no turbo,
approx 75 horses pulling 1.3 tonnes. And I was held up for a good 4 miles by
a f.cking Octavia VRS and a Boxster following each other at 40mph...

Hey guys,
I'm completely new to this stuff, so I apologise for not knowing the
correct terms.  In fact, if I did, I probably wouldn't be posting here,
as I'm sure there's a wealth of information online, if only I knew what

Absolutely OT: Czech Opticians26 May 2007 12:39 GMT11
ISTR PeteM at least has some Czech mates. In a week or two I'm off to
Moravia, then a couple of days in Prague. Probably Saturday and Sunday. What
are my odds of getting a pair of glasses glazed on the cheap (ie, do they
usually manage same day turn around like UK labs?)?
