The crossflow in the Locost is fecked, it runs, but is smokey as f.ck, it's
the bores.
I fitted bike carbs this weekend and they ran great, but I needed to remove
the crankcase breather from the old inlet manifold and nearly choked on the

The dizzie cap on the rangie.25 May 2007 00:36 GMT19
Whipped it off to take a look.
Looks the blade on the rotor arm has actually cut into the 8 contacts.
There appears to be a worn rough edge, rather the normal smooth square
cutouts.
That was a nice touch24 May 2007 21:18 GMT71
Picked up the Passat from Newport VW earlier.
As part of the service, there were 3 minor recalls to carry out.
On collection, the service manager gave me a bottle of champagne as a
'goodwill gesture' due to the inconvenience caused by the recalls.

Anyone selling anything reasonably interesting?23 May 2007 21:57 GMT52
I was interested in Carl's rangie, but looks like I'd need to tow it down,
so it's a no-goer I'm afraid.
Looking for something "interesting" up to about £750 . Long as it's got MOT
and goes fuel economy not a problem..
Volkswagen Golf GTI W1223 May 2007 19:57 GMT3
Volkswagen's engineers made a rear-wheel drive GTI with a twin-
turbocharged, 6.0-liter W-12 in the back.

From Elder: Been away a while, might not be back for a little longer.23 May 2007 18:44 GMT28
Bulldog screwed up my ADSL. They have tried to give me back a static
IP and screwed the connection for nearly a week, so no home internet.
Update is, there is still an ignition problem with the rangie so it is
being sold once I get it running.
Strange cooling problem23 May 2007 08:56 GMT2
Also posted in the Alfa group and in maintenance, but thought I'd try
here, too.
After a track session at an airfield day on Monday, I was shocked to
find that my 75 had dumped a load of coolant on the floor under the car.

Airfield day tomorrow22 May 2007 19:31 GMT19
Last time I took to the track, it was a spur of the moment decision on a
Clubcento day in a car that was only 2 years old....

Back from Colerne22 May 2007 16:26 GMT18
Well, that was...... exciting.
Arrived at Colerne in plenty of time before the briefing, had a cuppa
and a wander around the paddock.
Worryingly, there were loads of Caterhams, some Elises, a couple of
