Right.. Nitrous insurance. Rung Adrian Flux 'Modified Cars' division to get a quote for my car: 1996 2.0 Mondeo, currently with Alloys, air filter, exhaust mods. To insure as is: £266 (fully comp, protected NCB, £150xs)

People seem to fit into three categories: "I'd see myself right and give a load of cash away" "I'd have nice stuff but nothing too flash" and then there's me:

Not as much fun as the E30, irritatingly vibratory at idle. Didn't seem to suffer from BMW "Awful clutch" syndrome as badly as most of the other late BMW's I've driven.

| [OT - Geekage] In house 'networks' | 05 Jul 2008 08:47 GMT | 25 |
Was just discussing this randomly with a mate earlier, and as I knew there was some severe geekage in here, I wondered what everyone had in terms of a 'network' in their houses? We have (just lost brothers PC, Xbox 360 and Laptop when he moved out) -

Big car, small interior. Lovely engine and slush box. Lots of toys, lots of leather, very comfy, quite fast. Summary: want one, but niggly doubts remain about reliability and

Quiet, refined, quicker than the old PD engined cars. ESP kicks in far too early, seats crap. Summary: Not bad, could be better.

Up to about £3000, must be fun, not too thirsty. Practicality not important at all - I was going to get a bike instead. Would prefer something without a roof. I'm thinking pinto powered locost or Robin Hood, oldish MX-5, or god forbid a reasonable condition MGB...

| Question for Burgerman | 04 Jul 2008 00:08 GMT | 2 |
I'm thinking of doing my Direct Access in your town. You're a motorbikey person, can you recommend a decent training school? The ones on the DSA website either have their phones disconnected or the number has changed and is now permanently off the hook...

| Car pricing question - possibly for PeteM | 03 Jul 2008 20:13 GMT | 7 |
Very late E36 M3 (1998), with about 130k on the clock in what looks like decent condition. Any idea how much they're worth these days? There's a chance of swapping one for the RX7 TT, which is worth around 5.5k-6k...

I've just discovered this isn't that hard to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmUssac-wwk&NR=1 Appears to be rather simple if you've got an LSD fitted... like mine has. And when things like this seem to be crawling out of the woodwork all

| MR2 or 200SX... | 02 Jul 2008 00:48 GMT | 27 |
I am selling the MR2.. but I have an opportunity to swap for a Nissan 200SX Touring auto. Auto appeals to me a lot for motorway runs. The 200SX should have a sensible size of boot, has aircon, and rear seats.
