What a f.cking weekend31 Mar 2009 22:14 GMT12
Friday Laptop gives up.
Tries a restore from the software provided. No joy.
Even a clean factory formatted build gives a BSOD.
It even gave one BSOD midway between rebuilds.
Paging JackH...31 Mar 2009 17:30 GMT13
Guess what I just spotted on fleabay? Mica blue passenger side door,
undented, with glass, for 80 quid.
Shame that it's in Halifax, though.
The T5 - one week on..30 Mar 2009 19:28 GMT5
Another day in the workshop for the T5 today, why do I feel something
silly is going to happen soon?
Earlier in the week I took it to the local specialist dudes to get the
wheel alignment done. They did a wonderful job, but unfortunately after
Tax Question30 Mar 2009 19:23 GMT2
I suspect I know the answer to this, but...
Since the 306 passed it's retest after I did the brakes, I've been and
bought a shiny new 6 month tax disc. I didn't bother with 12 as I reckon
it'll be unused again for a couple of months come the end of the summer.
Somebody *please* talk me out of this30 Mar 2009 09:08 GMT69
I have vague notions of fitting slightly uprated suspension, sticky
tyres and swear at it on the occasional track day:

Rover V8 EFi bits28 Mar 2009 18:20 GMT13
Don't suppose any RV8 fans have any EFi bits laying around?  In particular I
need a plenum top and trumpet base for the old 3.5 flapper style, as found
in the SD1.
Need a stop gap to get my Vitesse running whilst I locate parts to rebuild
OTish: flogging cars28 Mar 2009 15:14 GMT8
I'm going to be flogging my 406 in the near future, because I can't stand
driving the thing, and I no longer need it as a method of racking up big
expenses claims.
It's got a couple of bumper scuffs, decent sized ones, and a couple of dents
Now that's modified.27 Mar 2009 13:37 GMT9
I'm sure you're all familiar with the SVA test.
Build a special or a kitcar and take it along to your local friendly VOSA
test centre for them to give it the thumbs up before wishing you years of
happy motoring.
f.ck me, it failed on the brake discs27 Mar 2009 11:08 GMT3

306 back on the road26 Mar 2009 12:50 GMT6
Tomorrow with a bit of luck. It's been stood up for three months SORN'd
after the tax ran out.
The battery was flat so I've just jumped it off the Grandis, and it
started straight away. Can't take it out for a run to charge it up
