Company car - advice please11 Sep 2003 16:41 GMT7
I'm thinking about selling my 1-year-old Nissan Almera Hurricane 1.5 and
getting a lease car via my employer. I would really appreciate some advice
to help me decide whether to do so & if so what car to choose.
I do approx 8,000 business miles per year and about the same again in
Galant V6 2.5 >2000 any good?10 Sep 2003 18:32 GMT1
Dear all, I'm seriously considering between a 2000 Audi A4 1.8 T Quattro
Sport and a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant V6 2.5 (with f/f bodykit) for ?G11k. I
drive a 1.8 A4 right now and I like the car very much, the upgrade to a
facelift A4 would be safe and comfortable. But I also thought a ...
How does a fuel sensor work?10 Sep 2003 18:15 GMT1
Just curious really, on some cars the tank gauge goes down gradually, on
some it's barely noticable until you get back in and it's dropped by a

Comparisons.. UK vs CAN cars10 Sep 2003 17:09 GMT2
Just got back from Canada the other day from my hols.
Saw quite a few tasty cars while out there.. didn't see one single Nova,
Saxo, or Orion.
What I did see was millions of Mustangs, a lot of Nissan 350Z's, quite a few

This is my first post, and i hope i am in the right newsgroup.
I purchased a new Toyota Avensis Strata and app. five weeks later i took it
to a carwash, the wash went fine until the dryer when there appeared to be a
fault with the dryer and it damaged the rear window and car roof.
Rover 75 Invasion09 Sep 2003 18:32 GMT3
London is crawling with silver Rover 75s, all with plates beginning
"BX53".  Most of them are V6s.  I've seen about 20-25 in the last day
or so, all with only a driver on board, mostly wearing a collared
shirt and some with a tie, and many wired up with a hands-free device.
Ford Focus TDCI Spec08 Sep 2003 19:06 GMT4
I'm thinking of getting a TDCI 115 Ghia from
Trade-Sales/Motorpoint. What I need to know is will the GHIA spec be the
same on these cars as opposed to what is listed in the ford catalogue I
have.
TOP GEAR08 Sep 2003 18:56 GMT6

The choices are: Avensis, Mondeo, Vectra, Primera, Peugeot
406 or Skoda Octavia.
Fancy cars in Cheshire08 Sep 2003 01:57 GMT4
Is there something going on in Cheshire today like a motor event or
something? Coming home to Manchester from Winsford I passed a couple of
pretty special motors on the A556.

boot spoiler on 206 CC / 307 CC ??06 Sep 2003 21:32 GMT3
http://www.307cc.peugeot.co.uk/more.asp?subsection=space
Was ogling the new 307 CC at the above link and I feel that it could really
do with a boot spoiler to compliment the looks.
Is it possible to attach a boot spoiler to the CC ? Know of any companies
Where to search for a used car?06 Sep 2003 18:08 GMT7
I'm still searching for the Audi I'm after, which will be as follows:

2.5TDi 140bhp 5-cylinder engine,
6-speed manual gearbox (standard on 140bhp versions),
Is it worth it? Pt206 Sep 2003 12:37 GMT5
Sorry to create a new thread! Time is running out.  I've now been to see an
Accord Sport 2.0 at lunch time and it's very nice.  Half leather/suede
(don't think it's alcantara!), nice 17's, nice colours, only 150bhp though.
But I can have this for about ?25 a month.

Funny souding engines in Subarus05 Sep 2003 19:01 GMT4
I've got a question about the engines in Subarus.
