Autoglym polish/wax ????28 Aug 2004 11:48 GMT1
I've always used Autoglym wash, polish and super resin finish on my cars but
never wax and I'm concerned I'm not protecting them as well as I could be.
If I were to use a wax where in the above process  would I use it?  I guess:
wash, polish, wax, super resin finish?

So, after years of driving company Astras and Mondeos, I go and buy a
Hyundai.
I spend the rest of the weekend indicating which direction I am going to

Advice wanted plz plz : cheap second hand Diesel car27 Aug 2004 13:05 GMT33
Decided I will save up a couple months for a spangly new Peugeot 206 diesel
but until then I need a cheap diesel run around to get me 40 miles to work
and 40 back every day.
I stupidly got a petrol car as my first car as it seemed like a good offer.

power consumption of car radio26 Aug 2004 18:04 GMT31
Sometimes I would like to leave my car radio playing while I am
doing work on the car.
What sort of power consumption would a bog-standard car radio
playing at "normal" volumes use?

50mph or something.
M1 closed today at Luton - why?25 Aug 2004 23:13 GMT20
Having been stuck for ages in this jam today, I'm just curious to know what
it was all about - anyone know?  The southbound carriageway was completely
shut for much of the afternoon due to an 'incident' according to all the
traffic reports; when we drove past travelling north all ...
Catch as catch can. (rant)25 Aug 2004 20:49 GMT12
Since establishing that speed cameras are a money-spinner, David (I see no
shite) Blunkett now wants to allow them, unannounced, on every road with a
blackspot within 12 1/2 miles (almost everywhere.)
Under his idea to abolish the

Where can I find a list of cars (second hand preferred but new cars also
would be handy) that give at least 60 and if possible 70miles per gallon?
Presumably all such vehicles will be disel which is fine, its what I'm after

So did they?25 Aug 2004 08:12 GMT4
The police go round and interview the person who drove into Dave Plowman's car
that is? I predicted they wouldn't and so far we've heard nothing back. So what
was the outcome?
