| Is anyone using a GPS device in a Peugeot 407? | 19 May 2005 12:30 GMT | 12 |
Well with a bit of luck, my 407 is on order. The TomTom GO 700 which I plan to use instead of the dubious looking factory option sat-nav certainly is. So now I'm wondering whether I'm going to need an external antenna for

| Sunday Times Deal exchange - VW Golf Deal | 19 May 2005 11:17 GMT | 3 |
They seem to have changed the previous Golf deal, but this looks superb http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,13349,00.html - anyone match it?

| Iranian car hits end of the road (hillman hunter) | 19 May 2005 09:21 GMT | 12 |
Nothing to do with the story below , But years ago I heard the story of a guy who worked at the Linwood plant and a few weeks before Hillman Hunter production finished - he ran his own oldish Hillman Hunter through the production line and it practically came out a new car with

| Citroen C5 Trafficmaster | 19 May 2005 03:30 GMT | 6 |
Have just bought a 02 plate C5 and need help figuring out the Traffic Master Oracle. I don't think there is a current subscription in place. When I press and release the Traffic Master button it says 'Traffic Master' and that is all I get out of it, the light in the centre of the ...

Does anyone think it might have been quicker with PSM turned on?

| BMW Naming Idea | 17 May 2005 21:21 GMT | 18 |
I always thought that BMW named their cars by means of series number then engine size. I.e a 330i being a 3 litre 3 series. Appears not. A 318Ci is a 2 litre.

| Vauxhall CDR500 help wanted | 17 May 2005 21:07 GMT | 2 |
Can someone please tell me how to manually tune the radio? The user guide says to press the up/down buttons but this just skips through the stations in memory. Pressing and holding sets it scanning. Cheers!

| Black cars | 17 May 2005 08:54 GMT | 64 |
I note that a recent newspaper report has commented on the ludicrously obvious - ie that car colour affects residual values. What did surprise me was that ( in relation to expensive cars) the colour that was likely to attract best residual value was metallic black. Now I know ...

| Top Gear | 17 May 2005 00:21 GMT | 26 |
Was bought a subscription as a Chrimbo present. The mag truly sucks. However, this months includes a natty little guide to the upcoming new series of TG that starts a week on Sunday. Highlights include: How far can a 24ft limo jump?

| Problems with car bought from garage - legal recourse ? | 16 May 2005 18:36 GMT | 5 |
Bought a 2000 Renault Scenic for £3500 a few months ago from a local garage. Had a few problems after a couple of days and the car went back to them to sort them out. (Thought I'd give them chance to put it right - with hindsight should have told them to stuff it !)

| Xenon Headlights, Travel to UK | 15 May 2005 22:08 GMT | 6 |
Since I haven't had much luck googling I'll try in here: are there any legal regulations about travelling to the UK in a continental European car with Xenon headlights? I know there are (or at least used to be) kits for taping conventional (halogen) headlights to elimate glare, but ...

| Fifthgear car crash tests | 15 May 2005 16:15 GMT | 116 |
Did anyone see the Fifthgear programme last night when they did crash tests of 4x4 hitting hatches and explaing what goes on? It certainly made me stop and think about how safe my car is compared to a 4x4 and ask myself whether I should consider a 4x4 for safety in the future.
