AJ6 Engineering Plus Torque kits19 Jun 2005 23:16 GMT4
Anybody out there got one of AJ6 Engineering's Plus Torque kits fitted
to their Jag?
The site claims an extra 35bhp, which doesn't sound like much, but does
say that it is all about mid-range torque.

ITV: why rover crashed19 Jun 2005 22:35 GMT81

One of these days I'll get round to doing a "sig", once I know how to.
Am I an idiot?19 Jun 2005 21:24 GMT12
I have a pretty good idea of what your answers may be but let me explain...
I wash my car only when it rains.
I have a water meter where I live. It would cost me £1 in water to wash my
car with a hosepipe.
thin knurled round nut19 Jun 2005 19:07 GMT5
hi, i have a thin round knurled ( decorative diagonal lines to give fingers
a good grip) rather flimsy nut.
i need to get a good grip on it, to undo it;  without 1, ruining the
knurling and 2, without crushing it (since it's quite thin).

Logistics of Tax/Insurance18 Jun 2005 18:41 GMT4
Morning,
2 weeks ago I scrapped my Fiesta. I have yet to send off the red V5/3 to
the DVLA. I have a few months left on my insurance, but wish to let them
lapse rather than cancel because given the time left I don't want to

A crappy situation.17 Jun 2005 19:21 GMT24
I've come to the conclusion that birds actually go out of their way to crap
on cars.
Maybe shinier ones preferred.
I have my own parking space at work, on a small hard standing behind the
Best Insurance company?17 Jun 2005 19:16 GMT8
I have just got my renewal, through a broker, with Norwich Union. Got online
quote from NU for about £80 less for exact same cover! So started shopping
around on internet...... best quote so far from Zurich. Are they OK? Do they
have good record for settling claims etc. Or are ...
How the F*** does one contact the AA by email?17 Jun 2005 10:26 GMT5
About ten years ago I purchased from an AA shop in Slough a Log Book which I
have found very useful.
But that shop closed many years ago and I cannot find out how or where I can
purchase another.
Almost had a T bone crash today16 Jun 2005 23:20 GMT29
I hate to say it - but it was a woman driver who pulled out in front of
me - and she waited until I was almost at the junction before she
decided to pull out .
Me traveling along a straight road - with a junction on the right .
Police knowledge of car insurance?15 Jun 2005 15:33 GMT16
I recently watched a couple of tv programmes on bad drivers and thought I saw
the police check with, presumably, the DVLC database and found that the driver
did not possess car insurance -- is this possible?  Or perhaps it could just
have been that they found out that he was ...
