CE regardless of subject is usually good well made documentary series but they really screwed up tonight . Apart from the usual communication errors it told the viewer very little and opted to highlight the storys of some of the people who got caught

| Best time of year to buy a car at auction | 08 Jul 2005 13:59 GMT | 5 |
I need to buy a nearly new car sometime before next march (06) I know what I want - 1.6 or 2.0 diesel Cmax - not up for debate. I keep cars for a long time typically 10 years and that is the last time I bought at auction so I'm a bit rusty.

| Listening to an audio book whilst driving? | 08 Jul 2005 11:58 GMT | 13 |
Anybody do this? Is it dangerous, does it take your mind off the road? Or do you find that you're constantly rewinding it because you missed a bit when something on the road took your attention? I guess I should try it to find out, but I figured I'd hear what others thought.

| Does anyone here own a Liana | 08 Jul 2005 10:10 GMT | 2 |
Having seen this 'reasonably priced car' in my local paper at £7995 for a brand new estate, I just wondered how crap it would have to be to be THAT reasonably priced. Otherwise it is tempting! Does anyone here own one who can make a reasoned argument for or

| Which people carrier | 08 Jul 2005 09:19 GMT | 34 |
I recently became a father for the second time, so need to get a bigger car. A people carrier like a galaxy seems to be the most likely option, and I have red in the papers that dealers are desperate. However, i also

| uk-car-discount.co.uk? | 07 Jul 2005 20:03 GMT | 3 |
Anyone bought a car via these? ( http://www.uk-car-discount.co.uk) My local dealer says "oooh (sharp intake of breath) - internet dealer. You can't trust these internet dealers, there's no comeback if anything goes wrong " - but they are offering a

| In the words of JC... | 07 Jul 2005 15:17 GMT | 2 |
...I very nearly had a semi. To the driver of the DB9 who I followed from M6 J17 to J21 this morning, who floored it every time the traffic cleared, thank you. The sound of 12 of Gaydon's finest doing their stuff meant I was smiling all the way to Gretna.

| How come.... | 07 Jul 2005 14:29 GMT | 9 |
I did a motorway journey today, I don't do them that often. What intruiged me was seeing a couple of cars (one a silver Audi S3) on the hard shoulder being ticked off by a copper in a rather large and brightly marked cop car. So I think, how come they managed to get

| [O/T] POLL: Marmalade on toast with or without butter? | 07 Jul 2005 14:06 GMT | 72 |
What's going on? :-) So many of the people I meet these days in the UK put marmalade on their toast with no butter. Maybe I'm old-fashioned or something because I put butter (margarine
