Mistubishi with uneven door arrangement31 Aug 2005 15:14 GMT5
A few years back I remember seeing a couple of mistsubishi mini-mpv type
cars at a car supermarket that had two doors on one side and just one on the
other. They were all imported , but I can't for the life of me remember the
name.
C3 Cruise Control31 Aug 2005 13:47 GMT1
I have a 2004 C3 and I would like to fit cruise control.
I believe that the C3 has an accelerator that works electrically as opposed
to mechanically and that its a case of plugging in the cruise control switch
to an existing socket and reprogramming the main via the same socket a
Remote control central locking systems.31 Aug 2005 10:45 GMT8
I have a 206 van (2001) with remote control central locking. The range of
the transmitter seemed to be quite good, at least 15m. Then, one day, I
noticed that the range was very short at home, but still ok when I get to
work. I didn't really think anything of it.
Best method for payment30 Aug 2005 22:26 GMT2
I'm purchasing a used car soon. I'm wondering what the best payment method
is: banker's draft, debit card. Are there advantages for one or the other.
Thanks for any advice

Hi what is the name for the type of car trailer that has just two
wheels and just lifts the two front wheels up of the car you are
towing? I want to search for one but want to know what its called
otherwise I'll get tons of pages on the bigger ones.
TR7 I want one. Am I mad ?30 Aug 2005 19:28 GMT19
Strange but true. I wanted one years ago and now I see a few about at
very decent prices. But should I bother and just keep to my fond wants
as a youngster as memories. Are they really as bad as ppl say ?
Or should I just go for it. Mind you it would be my main car
Trafficmaster30 Aug 2005 14:46 GMT1
Can anyone explain to me how to receive text messages on my Trafficmaster
YQ2? Or tell me how to get hold of an instruction book?
TIA

What if I want a car the same value or even a little less - will garages
still happily want to do a deal?

views regarding Vaux Astra diesel29 Aug 2005 21:41 GMT3
New to this group so bear with me if this is an old question:
Colleague is selling his daughter's Vauxhall Astra Merit 1.7D (K plate
120K miles) and wants £470 for it.  (she's off to college and will not
need a car).
Reduce tyre pressure after hols?29 Aug 2005 21:34 GMT9
I overinflated my tyres a fair bit before going on summer hols with the
family, in accordance with owner manual.
Car was  _very_  fully loaded and apparently that helps prevent premature
tyre wear. Car seemed to work OK.
vw golf terms29 Aug 2005 21:03 GMT43
Been looking at the vw golf and might seem like a simple question but what
does the GTI stand for ? and would having a GTI add to insurance costs?
I saw TDI as meaning diesel injection
Apologies if this sounds a bit like a novice question but I'm a novice :o)
SWAP:My S Reg Mk2 LX Mondeo for Diesel van/car MPV thing29 Aug 2005 13:23 GMT2
I have a nice British Racing Green pearl Mk2 Mondeo. Its very clean
and tidy and 68,000 miles.
I find it to big for my needs and I'm looking for a swap for a Diesel
thing. Trouble is I'm not really sure what I want. It would be nice to
Sorn Problem.29 Aug 2005 11:22 GMT4
I bought a car on the 8th of this month and haven't received the new V5 yet.
Now I am going on holiday for 5 weeks from tomorrow and my tax runs out at
the end of this month.
So I have to declare a SORN for the car.

My sister just failed her test on the 23rd August. The earliest she can book
a re-test is 26th October!!! over 2 months away. Her instructor has
obviously been taking her round about where our local test centre is on
likely routes.
