I've just had a personalised plate bought for me for my 21st (not something I would have purchased myself, but I can hardly say no as its a gift!). Have no fear, it shan't be altered to say something that it doesn't mean (although it could quite easily be...) It will be on a

| Knocking noise - what's that about? | 11 Aug 2005 15:24 GMT | 5 |
A friend who thinks mistakenly that I know something about cars has just asked me about a knocking noise from under the bonnet. Apparently, it's quite light, and it happens only when the car's decelerating. Should he get it checked out urgently or just mention it at his next MOT? ...

| Recommend me my next car? | 11 Aug 2005 00:29 GMT | 46 |
I've currently got a 2001 Astra Coupe turbo and i'm considering exchanging. This time, I want something with a similar level of practicality and get-up-and-go, but rear of 4WD. I would be looking at new or nearly new. I considered the RX-8 but a drive last year convinced me that I ...
