http://www.drives.co.uk/news/technews/news_technews379.htm The range isn't great yet, and who knows how much it'll cost to charge (or replace the batteries) but I'd prefer one of these to a Prius!

| Second Car... | 29 Sep 2005 20:30 GMT | 54 |
Looking to purchase a cheapish car - just sold an expensive Golf TDi on an 02 - looking to down grade. Have come to the conclusion that you're better of buying a used mid range car and losing less on it, rather than OTT nearly new.

| Does Car Hire Insurance claim effects own insurance? | 29 Sep 2005 17:33 GMT | 14 |
I was wondering if you crash a hire car does it effect your own car insurance policy? When you hire a car the standard excess is about 5 or 600 pounds. To reduce this to 100 pound is another 8 pounds or so. Is there a way to

| Holes in the back of my radio | 29 Sep 2005 15:19 GMT | 22 |
I just noticed, as I'm putting it in a different car, that there are two phono sockets on the back marked rear left and rear right. Why would it have these when it already has four sets of wires for the four speakers? Kenwood KDC-3090RA.

| Mystery wheel | 28 Sep 2005 08:35 GMT | 25 |
Can anyone please identify the make of vehicle that the wheel at http://www.roy.bailey.freeuk.com/wheel2.jpg has originally come from? It takes a 13 inch tyre; the stud holes are 4 inches between centres and the hole in the centre is 5 inches in diameter. There are three low lugs

| Fuel prices | 28 Sep 2005 06:33 GMT | 8 |
Just scrounged a little trip to southern Spain. Car hire, booked on the net through Ibericar. Cheaper than Holiday Autos. Toyota Yaris, with aircon. £79 a week. (roof rack, child seats, up to four drivers if you wanted, for no extra cost). Only one litre but it lugged four

| Hover the car | 28 Sep 2005 02:38 GMT | 15 |
This is one job I hate as the gap between front seats are large enough for things like macdonalds chips to fall into - but not wide enough to get a hover nozzle into even with the flat connection . And even if you do manage to get the flat connection in the plastic
