Toyota Corolla D-4D MMT13 Oct 2005 01:38 GMT1
I have recently bought a new Corolla D-4D diesel with MMT (multi Mode
Transmission). This is an 'automatic', plus optional manual. The automatic
action is by means of an automatic clutch. However, I am having problems in
making smooth controlled hill starts as the handbrake seems ...

garage said it's £1,100 for a brand new head or £490 for the base to be

Question on engine size12 Oct 2005 11:23 GMT26
I've been searching around the group, figured it'd be better to post

Towing a Ford Escort - Power steering & Brakes11 Oct 2005 23:17 GMT3
Hmm, was thinking about towing my car... does the power steering and brakes

a fact-finding tour of Iraq"
5th Gear - that racing seat11 Oct 2005 18:26 GMT10
Why the hell did they pay £6k for that piece of junk seat? It's hardly
like it was a piece of advanced engineering - it was taped together,
had bits of balloons stuck on it, it was a total piece of sh.t. And
then they try to start a competition to allow people to go down and

American Needs UK Used Car09 Oct 2005 21:57 GMT9
I recently moved to the UK from America and need a decent used car for less
than 2000GBP. I'd like a 4 door hatchback that isn't going to fall apart,
yet is decently fun to drive. Most cars in this price range are between 6
and 10 years old.
What sort of b*stard..09 Oct 2005 19:39 GMT14
What sort of b*stard removes the wheel trim, takes off two of the wheel
nuts, loosens a third to nearly off, replaces the wheel trim and leaves the
car in a car park, ready for the unsuspecting missus, and baby, to climb
aboard and drive off...
