Someone tell me about "hemies"13 Dec 2005 14:10 GMT42
Hemispherical engines. I take it they are dome headed pistons -so

Tyre pressues on Ford Ka12 Dec 2005 18:40 GMT5
'54 plate, 1.3 "expression" or some such. Tyres are 165/65 R13. Came as a

soft, and there's no documentation, or even a little sticker on the door
post, with the tyre pressures.

Why did Clarkson expect to be able to thrash a recently rebuilt engine?
Was it even re-torqued after the rebuild?

What I'm after is something along the lines of Merc's effort: a small
RFID-style device you keep on your keyring or in your pocket, which if
it's within a few feet of the car unlocks and disarms it, so you can

attractive for say a 10-12 month old one.  Even new!

BMW Lamda.08 Dec 2005 10:45 GMT7
How come an OE Bosh Lamda for my 525i from BMW is £129, yet the identical
Bosch Lamda from GSF is only £57?
Who's making all the money. BMW or the dealer?
Mike.
