Escort 1.8gti24 Feb 2006 07:53 GMT47
My brothers Escort Gti revs away up and down (as if pressing the
accelerator) without actually doing anything. It also at about 70mph just
dies and loses power until it drops to about 55mph when it then starts to
pick up again.

Mondeo misfiring22 Feb 2006 23:55 GMT10
I have a 1998 2.0l Mondeo which I recently took to the local garage for a
service. Before I took it it was running beautifully, but when I picked it
up it seemed to misfire when running at around 2000 revs in either fourth or
fifth gear. However, it's something it only does now ...
'hot hatch' advice please22 Feb 2006 17:36 GMT6
We're in need of a second car that will get daily use, and will be
driven to and from work (about 15 miles each way).  We already have a
C-Max as our family car (2 kids) so the second car can be a little less
sensible....obviously a two seater would be a bit silly as there may be
which tyre and exhaust centre?22 Feb 2006 11:45 GMT13
I have had my share of problems with so called quick fit operations

what they are doing on minimum wage and doing a fine job or is it ...

Driving Ban - Bugger21 Feb 2006 16:26 GMT3
This is so unfair.
Just got banned for doing a wheelie whilst drunk.
Obviously executing a perfect wheelie whilst under the influence should
be something well worth the respect it deserves. Whats wrong with the

DVLA V5C paperwork21 Feb 2006 15:00 GMT4
I had a guy coming over to pick up my old car and I wrote down his address
on the V5C paperwork.
He now has lost interest in the car and I'm stuck with his address on the
paperwork.
100 MPH on rear wheel!!!21 Feb 2006 14:47 GMT27

I wonder how many people here find 100MPH on the rear wheel of a
gsxr1300 safe?
Your thoughts please....
Chipped windscreen21 Feb 2006 11:16 GMT3
My car has just a small chip where a stone hit it. It's not much bigger than
a big full stop but a mm. or so deep. Is there a product out there that can
be used to fill it so it doesn't get worse and so it won't be intrusive? It
is right in my line of sight.
I bet he won't do that again...21 Feb 2006 09:54 GMT87

Car hard to steer at 50+mph20 Feb 2006 22:42 GMT13
While travelling on the motorway last night in our 1991 nissan micra I
felt a loss of steering control while overtaking at about 70 mph. I
slowed down and the car felt a bit better although it still felt like I
was just pointing the car in a general direction.
