I have just had a puncture repaired by KwikFit. A friend said not to do a long motorway journey in the car because the tyre had a puncture repaired.. Is this correct as I have a 5 hour journey coming up in a month?

| Bah. This country is rubbish. | 08 Mar 2006 10:00 GMT | 22 |
Another trip out, and another bit of time waiting to see if I get a ticket from some bloody camera somewhere. Still waiting to see if 80 and slowing towards a van on a flyover on the M6 is too much; this time, another trip - Birmingham - reigning in the

| engine miles musings... | 04 Mar 2006 20:24 GMT | 11 |
I wonder which current engine does the most total vehicle miles per annum - for example the VW 1.9D that appears in skodas, seats, VWs, audis and all the van derivatives, or the 2.2 diesel from the sprinter, C class, E class. Or would it be the Ford V8 that goes in shedloads of F ...

| Pointless mileage request on V11 | 01 Mar 2006 15:59 GMT | 3 |
I just realised, I'm dilligently filling in the mileage on my V11 when I take it down the Post Office to get my tax, but for the last few years they've been giving the form back to me rather than keeping it. What's the point in trying to combat mileage fraud, if they don't bother ...

| Disposable cars - what have we become? | 01 Mar 2006 08:17 GMT | 38 |
I'm about to chuck out my gf's Scorpio estate. At least, maybe. It will be broken for trivial items of eBay-friendly type, such as the keyfob (typically sells for £40!), the lights, the interior mirror (auto dimming, an easy £30).
