I failed my MOT at first becaus the exhaust was blowing. MOT garage helpfully proposed to fix it all for £ 180.00 (To be fair, including -wait for it - an indicator light bulb and a wiper blade) but I sauid no thanks and had the exhaust fixed for free as it was still under ...

I'm thinking of getting a Peugeot 306 2.0 HDi and was wondering what kind of MPG I could hope for considering that I'm currently getting 35-40 MPG out of a Rover 200 1.6. The daily drive is 64 miles (round trip) with about 48 of that on 60 mph / 50 mph A roads, the rest is

Anyone care to suggest a car to replace an XJ that's not an XJ (my dad doesn't get on with the high sills anymore). Must be auto, possibly diseasel, preferably not a Merc or BMW. Not a 4x4 either. Must ride well and go well, but needn't actually be XJ sized.
